Hey Nick. Your dad taught me the split-shot method back in 1987. It is my go to method when the bite gets tough. I still have a couple hundred leaches from back then too. It normally doesn’t get the hogs, but it definitely puts numbers in the boat.

Split shot leach. It brings back memories. Probably why I’m a power fisherman, but at times it will be what puts fish in the boat.

Tried this technique today. It works. The bite was really tough today, and this was the only thing that i could catch bass on . Even caught a couple of bluegill on it.

SHHHHHHHHH.............it is an old school technique that has never stopped working. Reapers, Finesse worms, Single tail grubs, Small swimbaits, 4" Senko, all work great on a spilt shot.
