Amazing video, I remembered years ago looking for a drop in solution, I can't wait for these to be pushed out to other regions. My old Gameboy might get some more life into it with this upgrade

A couple other notes, how does the new display effect battery performance? To take the old adhesive off I took the shell off the display completely and scrubbed it by hand with some goo gone
Can you help me? I converted the original Game Boy to LCD then the screen started flickering and spinning and then suddenly it went completely out. I have now replaced it with the other mainboard. Now it works but now I have a broken mainboard. Can someone help me? to repair
It doesn't let me close the gameboy all the way. It leaves a gap between the volume wheel and the link port. And when I try to put the screw on to close it, it feels like it's putting too much pressure on the unit. Does anybody have a workaround for this? Edit: Had to bend the ribbon of the board upwards, and then it closed shut
Any problem when closing the case with the contrast wheel? i cant turn it or click it for the menu. tried to file the pins under the wheel but i wasnt lucky. have u met that problem?
that screen ribon is a pain. it barely reaches on the right side. i think i damaged it. went back to tweak my buttons and the screen never worked a second time
A little pro-tip about that ribbon - In fact, this ribbon is very difficult to install if you follow the guide. I dealt with it in the following way - I connected the screen ribbon to the board before putting the whole thing into the case , then I inserted 4 small wooden toothpicks into the mounting holes on board and bracket of screen to position the screen, then I put the whole thing into the housing and after making sure that the screen was in the right position and that the buttons work properly, I took out the toothpicks one by one and replaced them with Phillips screws one by one (removing the toothpick, screwing in the screw and so on 4x). Thanks to that i was able to mount the board with screen without any damages.

Very nice. Didn’t know a solderless option existed for the DMG. I’m not comfortable with soldering and was able to modify my GBC and it looks amazing. DMG options seem limited though
Don't mod it because you're destroying an original. The original has proper, actual value while a modded one is just a gimmick that has destroyed a piece of handheld history There's no integrity in destroying a classic. It's vandalism. Just buy an Anbernic 35xx or Miyoo Mini Plus+ ffs.
Its not that deep mate. Just buy a orginal and keep it and use one for mod. Its nice to have one updated. Nobody cares about this stuff anymore in 30 years...
