@@classiccam196yt7 gotcha! For that try to slow down the rotation numbers. The slower the armor stand rotates and changes it’s head angle, the more accurate the sphere becomes.

Wow great tutorial! Also let me guess, you are using a mac laptop to record this video? I think this because as a mac laptop user myself, I cant record in game sound (I think you are in this video) and my screen isn't as wide as the youtube screen which makes me need to kinda cut off the top of my recording. Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad this video could help you. You're absolutely right! When I recorded this video I was on a Mac, though I have since moved onto Windows. The key to recording game audio is to use blackhole. Mac's are weird in how they share audio with OBS. Same with the aspect ratio. I had no idea the mac screen was not a standard resolution when I made this video. I've made a lot more content since this video! This is actually my very first video on this channel :D

What if I want to make a sphere with an even diameter instead of an odd, so there isn't 1 specific central block, but 4 or 8?

Good question! I just tested this, and you can make an 8 diameter circle by using the value 3.5 for your distance number (E.G ^ ^ ^3.5 ). Though you will also want to move your armor stand so that its center is on the far corner of the block its sitting on. Otherwise your circle might be slightly asymmetric.

For what ever reason I found out the doing this and using F3+P (the bind for Pause on Lost Focus) completely breaks the command. Note: I am playing on a DawnCraft Modpack. So maybe it might have something to do with it. If anyone else can't get the command to work see if you have the F3+P bind on. Nice Vid Btw.

since i wanted to build myself a whole planet i tried to generate a 50x50 sphere, but your 25x25 settings are resulted for a "spagetti" phase when the sphere progress is about 25%. now i try the 1 / 0.0005 rotation speed. its painfully slow, but i hope this time it actually makes the whole sphere.

If you want a 64 high sphere, place the block at 31 high. Then use 31.5 for the radius parameter.

i'm trying to make a sphere with a diamiter of 100 but i can't get it to stop skipping rows. if i put i to go slow it skips rows but if i make it go fast it skips blocks. any help would be appreciated

The good news about this technique is that no sphere is too large if you have enough patience :) I've done spheres over 100 blocks before without issue. There are two speed parameters you can adjust: 1) how fast the armor stand turns 2) how fast the head angle changes. It sounds like you're updating only one of them. In the below command the "4" changes how fast the armor stand rotates, and the "1" controls how fast the armor stand changes its head angle. If you're skipping rows try to lower the 2nd number. Still skipping rows? Lower it more. execute as @e[name='SphereStand'] run execute at @s run teleport @s ~ ~ ~ ~4 ~-1

That’s really odd! This usually means one command is incorrectly entered (generally it’s due to an extra space at the end), the command blocks aren’t facing into eachother, or they are requiring redstone power.

Wow that’s a big one! I’d say try the current speed and see if it misses any blocks. If so, reduce it by half. The best part about this is you can run it as many times as you’d like!

I made an even slower variation of this where you stand at the center of it and having a command block set to place a block 100 blocks away in the direction your facing It’s time consuming and really bad for if it needs to be a single layer thick

Hey, I have a realm that has multiple countries on it. The radius of this circular border I am trying to make is 883 blocks. Is there any cap on making horizontal circles? Because it is not working for me.

As he stated the chunks have to be loaded. Normal render distance is 12 chunks which means the chunk you're in plus 12 chunks in each direction. So you're looking at 25*16 = 400 blocks diameter loaded. You might get around that using chunk loaders, but I'm not sure about that. Chunk loaders load - I believe - a 5x5 chunk area

I put all of the commands in exactly for the 11 diameter sphere and it only places 1 block directly above below and in front. After that it does not add more blocks. Have I input it wrong? Is it because i use lunar client? I have no clue

(Edit: I messed around a bit and figured it out. All you need to do is not include the second chain command block in the sequence. For all others who want to generate domes, just don’t use the second chain command block and you’re golden.) Would it be possible to make a dome and not a full sphere using this method? I need a dome roof for a 64 diameter building. I don’t want the bottom half of the sphere. Just the top half. If so, what changes would need to made Command wise? I’m playing on Bedrock 1.19. @@AvidMc I changed the armor stand to end crystal and it only created one block on either side (5 blocks from center). I followed the directions and commands exactly how you have them. I would be happy to be directed to someone who can help, if you're too busy. Thank you in advance. (On Bedrock 1.19.15)

Hmm… it’s possible the commands were copied incorrectly in the 2nd world. Make sure there are no space at the ends of your commands!

@@AvidMc Found the problem! So it wasn’t the code, but the game itself. For some reason even tho the command blocks were set to be chain, they still read as impulse. Fixed it and nows its working again. Thanks tho!

im trying to do this on bedrock, and on larger sizes, if only slightly larger, there are gaps inbetween the blocks on whole layers. like layer, air, layer. i dont get it!

Hey there! I finally got around to testing and updating the Bedrock commands. As it turns out, I needed to swap out the armor stand for and End Crystal! I updated the description of the video with the fixed commands.

Check out the description of the video! In short? You’d change the “5” in two of the commands to “25” and slow down the rotation angles.

@@connorsworkshop Oh wow that's a big one. So you'd change the "25" to a "100". You'd need to slow down the rotation angle a lot more than the 51 block sphere, but I don't know the exact numbers, so you'd have to play around... You could speed up the rotation parameters, but you may see a loss of accuracy in the final sphere. Another way could be to use more armor stands that you face in different directions.

Totally possible. The absolute easiest way would be to make a full sphere and then remove the other half using the fill command: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4m800w2MZqk.html The more complex way would be to use the technique I used in my moon video, where you watch for the armor stand to reach a certain angle and then "reset it" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jOtE2knOg7I.html

I’m so confused. I copied your commands for the giant sphere but instead of 51 I want 63. But for the bedrock commands you put 3 different repeating commands when there’s only 1 block, so which command do I use? I’m new to minecraft and don’t understand these technical things

Sorry you’re confused! The bedrock command were supplied by a community member in my discord, so I haven’t had a good chance to test them. Now that I have bedrock I’m going to test them out myself and make changes as necessary. Sorry again for the confusion!

so I noticed that there only 2 spheres listed as Bedrock. are those the only 2 that'll work for bedrock edition? is it possible to still make a big sphere and the crazy sphere?

Thanks for asking and good question! Yes I only listed 2 spheres for bedrock - they were submitted by a community member. Now that I have bedrock I will probably update this video with all of the spheres.

Funny enough in bedrock, the facing pitch cannot be set for armor stands - it always points to the horizon - but it can for end crystals!

@@dute6584 I've got rid of the armor stand, and I changed the name in the command block to my own. Then my playerchar is positioned and changed the direction and the blocks began to show up.

Totally possible with a little bit of testing. You can specify coordinates with decimal places like: ^ ^ ^2.5 it’s a little more guess and check but it’s totally doable!
