You don't need the mask. The color corrector is effecting the alpha channel of the thing you are merging on top of the screen. Instead of the mask, go to the options tab of the color corrector node and tick "Pre-Divide/Post Multiply"
i appreciate you showing the struggling in the end and the attempt to troubleshoot it it goes to show that to be a pro editor, you dont need to know the whole editor inside and out. it doesnt matter how good you know the software, you will come across issues, and once you troubleshoot them you'll have learned something new theres always something to learn
GPT Here's Joris again to save the day with another cool tutorial. At first I was "meh" about using davinci. You made it easy or much easier at lest. The mix of technical mastery and personal connection makes this channel a go-to resource.Keep these gems coming, Joris! 🎨📚👾
Thanks man! I will give it a try. Do it all the time in After Effects but Resolve is just so much faster in preview and rendering. Together with the grading it will make projects folder structure way more compact.
Yes, it’s a false image, that’s the hole point. To add to reality, it is possible to take the reflection from a Tv that’s off, and extract the reflection. Then do the tracking, add the overlay footage, do all the corrections, and in a last step extract the reflection from the 1st step and overlay that on top of the TV. I did this for a project and it makes a difference.
Man, I tried doing this over the weekend. Color correction drove me nuts. It adjusted the underlying footage too. WTH. I ended up putting a mask on the footage I wanted to put on a screen. “Glad” you faced the same challenge.
but I want to make the video behind the screen to get a smooth zoom in , I want to remove the green screen and zoom through the screen of TV or laptop .... , to show my own video , in a moving shot 😅 , and thnx for this explanation it's helpful 😊
I am fairly new to Davinchi Resolve, so my number one question is this... Why do these screen replacements need the plus signs in the corners and middle? How do they work in this situation?
They're there so that the Tracker has something to track; it can't track empty space as there're no 'anchors' for it to lock on to. Trackers work by tracing the movements of pixels where there is enough contrast between them and surrounding pixels; if there are no contrasting spots, they can't work.
Ironic, but I had an editor application test that involved this 2 days ago ahah, figured it out on my own! Btw I'm kinda curious: how would you tackle a curved screen? :)
I am trying to add a video on top of another, but the object I'm trying to add to is not a perfect square. There is another object in the way. How do add the video without covering the object that is in my way??? pls help
how can i do it with a video in which the green screen is not always present? when i try it , the track doesnt just stay in the place i first put it but tracks other random things. I wanted something like while the tv/monitor in the video is slowing showing , you can at the same time see the video i replace in the same way
Признаю это очень познавательно. Но у меня возник один вопрос. 1)Как добавить видео так же на экран если перед ним стоит человек!? 2) Или как добавит видео на экран телефона когда в кое каких моментах появляются пальцы на экране телефона!?
