Hello! I don’t know if it is food safe, however, the MSDS for it says it is non toxic www.dick-blick.com/msds/DBH_SDS_01689XXXX.pdf I have used it over resin in the past but have never used it for items that will be used for food and will need to be washed. I did forget to mention that the Tri art liquid glass doesn’t give your artwork the same depth as resin. You would probably have to add several coats of it to get the same depth as resin. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes.
