I never see things that u say you’ll post, I miss a lot. Thank you, Andrea Jean, your videos r so helpful and they keep me smiling. Thank you, you’re never boring
My Mother taught me this as a teenager in the 60’s. I can also fold them this way from off the clothesline. But it was a great thing that you are bringing this to this new generation!!
Actually this is basically how my mom folded sheets and so do I! I was glad I asked her how as when I got married we had a king size bed! Omg, when you made your bed it had to be absolutely perfect or you started over! We couldn't just bring the spread up over the pillows. The pillows had to be rolled up in half length wise then the spread brought up making a nice tight tuck under pillow! Yes It looked really nice but was awfully time consuming! As a small child I hated it! Nobody else did there's like that! I'm pretty sure my Mom had some mental issues! I really do enjoy your videos, keep up the great work! 😍
I also know how to do the bed that way. But now I have an easier way. It requires a few extra extra pillows. At first my husband balked at this until I showed him how handy it could be. So when I get up in the am, I pull the blankets up and cover the sleeping pillows. Then I add two bed pillow on top and two decorative pillows. It literally takes 3 minutes for a king size bed. At bed time my husband and each place two pillows off the bed.
This will no doubt help a ton of people. It’s crazy how many people have no idea how to do this. My mom taught me when I was little. Thank you for all the fantastic videos you share! So many great ideas!! 😊
My mom taught me to fold fitted sheets putting corners in corners(from when it was hanging on the line) when I was 8-10 yrs old. I am now 72 and did it that way all my life! Gets easier to fold the more you do it! God Bless!
I can do this but I prefer using a flat sheet as a bottomed sheet. When I purchase sheets for my queen bed, I purchase 2 sets of sheets in king size and sell the fitted ones. And yes they do stay tight until I take them off.
s pro - I agree with you. I like flat sheets on the bottom & when I make the bed the sheet stays in place very well. I am a retired nurse & they taught us well ( no fitted sheets in hospital linen cupboard!)
Yes, Same for me! God Bless her 😇 I believe it's on those things if you have someone in person to demonstrate/teach you it will help those that struggle. I've passed this on to many over the years.
That is how I fold my fitted sheet & I also fold the flat sheet & extra pillow cases except for one of them & I put set into the unfolded pillowcase & they are always together & never lose any of the sets.
I have a friend who work at a textile mill where the makes sheets & she showed me how to fold my fitted sheets it is great & compacted , I love your way too gonna try it thanks for sharing. 👍
I do fold mine like that but I put the fitted sheet on top of the top sheet with the pillow cases and then fold the all together at once. This way my complete sets stays together.
I agree with Sharee. You made the folding look too complicated. I have been folding my sheets this way for 30 years. The one thing that I do differently is that I fold the top sheet and one pillow case so they are about the same size. Then I put them inside the other pillow case and fold it neatly around the pile. When I go to make my bed, I don't have to search for the matching pieces. I use 100 cotton sheets and if I fold them immediately after taking them out of the dryer, smoothing the hems as I go, there are very few wrinkles.
I've been doing this for 60 years. My home homemaking class in the early 1960's Bring homemaking class back in the schools for both males femals, whatevers.
Omg! I’ve always struggled w/fitted sheets! Thank you soooo much! I ❤ your videos & your presentation style. I don’t see the sheet set on Amazon below the description. I may not be looking @ the right spot lol. Thanks again! 🥰
As for all the lovely smelling items and the sheet items, I would love to have every single one. But a retired lady on Social Securitu cant afford those luxuries. But a lovely fragranced soap bar tucked in linen closet is an affordable option. Also the store Tuesday Morning has all their "smelly" products on sale during holiday season so I keep an eye out. As for tucker thing, I use a long handled wooden cooking spoon. I used to wrap a piece of silk material around, but don't even do that now. Well, I stopped using top sheets at all. I have a soft, silky feeling throw I use as top cover. I'm a hot sleeper so this is enough for me in 68° house. Colder than that and I might pull out my down comforter. I'm lazy too, so I might just toss on another faux fur throw instead.
Ok so it's easier when you are tall with long arms! I'm 5ft with t-rex arms, when I try to fold any sheets I'm out of breath and all flustered🤣 Oh and the sheets drag on the floor, so gross & annoying😖
You should be cloned. I want to marry you. I'm terrible at all this kinda cleaning and neatness stuff. However, I find your videos addictive and am on the organizational cleaning train now. Choo! Choo! Your partner is lucky and I'm lucky to have found your channel!
