The changing of the word "right" to "attuned" was so enlightening. Now the eightfold path makes even more sense. And it makes it easier to explain to people what the purpose is, what you're trying to achieve.

We wholeheartedly agree! Ajahn Amaro's explanation, using the word "attuned" makes so much sense :) - Study Buddhism Team

Again others translate it as "appropriate". But I like "attuned" even more.

Even I though that, the moment he said attuned and gave example of veena instrument, something clicked and reminded me of Indian Classical Music where that instrument is used and how everything changes as soon as it's "attuned" :)

Thats kinda racist. He just translated it more refinely cause he is western in origin. Tibetan buddhists arent english in origin so youre lucky enough to even be able hear them speak english for western listeners.

There’s one other way of approaching this that has transformed my practice, which is to practice the Four Noble Truths with a strong focus on the third noble truth (Dukkha Nirodha). I do this every moment I remember to. I see Dukkha and abandon its cause, then immediately realize the cessation of Dukkha in the form of desirelessness. Doing this over and over helps to establish the mind in the deathless (Nibbana). If it works well enough then the mind operates in line with the fourth noble truth (the eightfold path) by default. 1. It holds no fixed views but rather remains in a state of viewing arising and falling (energy passing in and out of form by the law of conditionality) 2. The mind is continuously leaning towards Nibbana rather than sensory stimulation or worldly gain. 3&4: this satisfied mind automatically speaks and acts in useful and harmless ways. 5: I’m a teacher 6: the mind abandoned any unwholesome or unskillful old habits and generates only wholesale states until it is clear and unified. 7: Sati functions from beginning to end of all truths and path factors but attention and memory get very fast, clear, and sharp. 8: these factors become unified so that the mind is clear enough to continually see dukkha and abandon its cause, realizing its cessation, establishing itself in the deathless element (Nibbana). This is all the Buddha taught: see dukkha, realize its cessation over and over until no craving is left. When craving is uprooted permanently, no self can arise and all fetters are broken.

Balance. But as you said yourself the better word is harmonious. You see we don’t want to live with everything absolutely equal or absolutely in the middle. 50%. We want to pursue harmony and we wish to live harmoniously.,
