I believe the attacks on James' life were an attempt to stop the publication of The Great King James Version Bible in 1611. Had James died prematurely, the KJV Bible may had never reached the world. As a result the Gospel of salvation could have been hindered. 2 Corinthians 2:14 King James Version ~ "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place."
Mary returned to Scotland to assume her designated role as the country’s monarch. In 1565, she married her English cousin Lord Darnley in order to reinforce her claim of succession to the English throne after Elizabeth’s death. In 1567, Darnley was mysteriously killed in an explosion at Kirk o’ Field, and Mary’s lover, the Earl of Bothwell, was the key suspect. Although Bothwell was acquitted of the charge, his marriage to Mary in the same year enraged the nobility. Mary brought an army against the nobles, but was defeated and imprisoned at Lochleven, Scotland, and forced to abdicate in favor of her son by Darnley, James. In 1568, Mary escaped from captivity and raised a substantial army but was defeated and fled to England. Queen Elizabeth initially welcomed Mary but was soon forced to put her friend under house arrest after Mary became the focus of various English Catholic and Spanish plots to overthrow Elizabeth. Nineteen years later, in 1586, a major plot to murder Elizabeth was reported, and Mary was brought to trial. She was convicted for complicity and sentenced to death. On February 8, 1587, Mary Queen of Scots was beheaded for treason. Her son, King James VI of Scotland, calmly accepted his mother’s execution, and upon Queen Elizabeth’s death in 1603 he became king of England, Scotland and Ireland.
Thank you for this clear and concise summary! There's so many embellished interpretations of Mary Queen of Scots' life and execution that it's hard to know what to believe. But yours is a clear summary and given this info, I guess she sadly had it coming. Whether or not she personally plotted revolution against Elizabeth, we're not for sure. But the fact that she was used as a symbol or pawn of revolt and allowed herself to be, Elizabeth had no choice.
Awesome, awesome video. We thank God for saving King James 1 from death, which later brought us our beloved James James Version on the Word of God! Thank you so much for such a magnificent video! God richly bless you and your awesome work!!
Many other nobles were warned of the plot too. One was Welsh noble Sir John Wynne, who would become one of the first Baronets, who had been planning to attend that very Parliament, but he received a letter from his physician that it would be "injurious to his health" to go.
@@johnmiller8975 I think it is an important distinction. Elizabeth I petitioned Parliament to specifically be named "Supreme Governor of the Church of England" as not to offend crypto-Catholics as this phrasing allowed people to accept her authority with regards to temporal matters but could still retain some "spiritual" or "personal" beliefs. The English monarchs before Elizabeth I were given the title "Supreme Head of the Church of England" until Mary I tried to force England back to Rome by reversing the political changes that occurred during the English Reformation. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Act_of_Supremacy_1558en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Act_of_Supremacy_1558
It was unfair on the part of Pius V not only excommunicating Elizabeth but telling Catholics they were free to depose her it made the English Catholic population s lives hell because to be fair Elizabeth has to defend herself and the results were harsh persecutions the North rebellion in1570 that was ruthlessly squashed by Elizabeth with a lot of hangings in Yorkshire It was sad because when she came to the throne in1558 she asked God not to have to execute anyone but she had no alternative but to do it may she rest in peace God knew she had a very hard life starting withher mother murdered by her father and everything
You have to remember that James had bad seeds in him especially on his mother's side he had Tudor blood he was Henry VIII s great grandnephew he was grandson to James V a cruel sadist who ordered Lady Glamis s burning and force her teen son to watch it this man s mother was a bad mother his father Darnley was cruel evil and his own mother what was she a scheming selfish trollop who wanted to disheriting him for Philip II a stranger to her because he was a Catholic and her own son James was not so he had bad blood indeed and this sadism in him was brought out by guy Fawkes s courageous defiance and if he indeed plotted to kill Elizabeth to become England s king sooner it shows the kind of person he was and I'm glad his lineage ended less than a century later no more Stuarts on the English throne thanks be to God
Martyrdom is to die holding your faith high, and certainly not to have even desired harm to others but rather to die innocent of any crime period. the only thing is to die in the true faith and not some made-up religion of man, to die as a true believer, that practiced the very faith Christ died to give us in Himself.
Perhaps, but the questions is and has always been, What is the true faith? Many have killed and died for what they see as the true faith, but in the end, all we have observed is that humanity assumes much too much and seeks not The Truth, but their truth.

These are the same hypocritical, self-righteous,low key anti-black "radical" leftists shout and support "black lives matter!" and rock the guy Fawkes masks at the same time but doesn't know this "movement" was funded by the Anti-black capitalist Nazi and Guy Fawkes was also a black man killer.
Shalom! 🌈💝😇 Now all Christians must unite on this very last hour - Catholics, Protestants, Baptists, Evangelicals, born-again Christians etc. 1 CORINTHIANS 13; REVELATION 1-3 etc. Peace/Shalom ⚖🌈💖😇👍👏🥳
Christ didn't come to being peace but a sword instead because of truth. Before unity have to put the real picture of King James the 1st an 6th up 🚫 the painted one.
The foley of man is to assume to know what God wants and thinks. Arrogance in their own self-importance and assumed closeness to the heavens. To place one man above God, assumed to be God’s representative on earth, is against the first commandment.
You cowardly think and Romans he forgave us but next book corinthians Jesus builds the great lake of fire for Eternity. forgave once but the new great lake of fire is now built to burn you in sin because he loves you to burn you. Eternity you can not Fathom but fear you take anything. Cherrypicking will full fill.
I thought Solomon was the father of freemasonry and freemasonry always was, still is and will be diabolical.please correct me if I'm wrong and enlighten me
The same James who plotted to have Elizabeth assassinated so he could ascend the throne earlier. The same James I who's Protestant Royal Court circulated rumors about his young, and attractive male companions he kept? Why would anyone want to end his reign?
