He really surprised me! Unfortunately, he was a human-sized enemy, and I use The Axe of Godfrey. I have yet to find one who can poise through its ash of war.

Bayle Mesmer even the final boss all had me feeling that as well also I thought dancing beast was three dudes cuz he uses frost lightning and wind I assumed one for each dude (kinda like the trio in enir elim have lightning frost and wind respectively)

The only reason I didn't accidentally kill the first one I saw was because I saw it from a distance, couldn't lock-on and so I realized something about it was weird. Glad I didn't. Could've been unfortunate.

I hit the first one I found too many times and then I thought about it and I was like “why is there only one?” Literally the only time I’ve ever had to use a celestial dew
U gotta keep circling around him to keep the open arena space open to you, this will give you space to avoid him and prevent the camera from screwing you when he backs you into the walls and corners
What worked for me, was treating it like a dragon fight = fighting without locking on. Beat it first try, after trying it (after like 10-15 deaths with a lock-on).
It says a lot about the bosses when you remember that Dancing Lion is baby's first main boss in this DLC and its killed her more times than her initial exploration of the area.
@@michapiasta3072 scadu levels low and possibly not super high level. She is primarily STR/FAITH so she's probably not going bleed so easily. Leveling up faster weapons will help a lot in the DLC. Also, she needs to use HOLY against undead. The difference is night and day. Will help a lot against ghostflame dragon and the birds.
@@fatcat1697 old trusty blasphemous blade or darksteel hammer are such a great options, on mine 40 faith/35 strenght character I could hit for 1k basic atacks agaisnt base game enemies per atack with the hammer and 2k per guard counter. When first fighting the lion boss, mine 80 faith char could dish out 3-4k dmg blasphenous blades aow. Also the relic sword is such a op weapon, against putricend knight I could get him to 2nd phase amount of hp befofe it could get into atack range.
@@michapiasta3072 arcane blood bandit curved swords, claw+raptor, rot wing prosthesis, these were my combos for any larger opponents. Casually doing over 5k with one jump attack without bleed is nuts. When bleed procs, its gg.
@@fatcat1697 I am currently using for mine 2nd dlc playthrough the blood fiend arm/moghwyn spear or that electric mace from that dragon lady npc, bloodfiend gets around 4-7k counting bleed, mogwhyns entire aow gets me from 7-12k dmg and that flower gets me from 2-3.5k per aow if I am in need of safe lighting dmg, I forgot to get shard of alexanzer in that playthrough, but that bonus dmg for bleed talisman carries me. Currently at 60 arc.
Blackgaol Knight is what we pros call: "The Casual Filter" or "YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT SKIBIDI TREE" It was agony to fight him only to later find out about whole Skibidi system

Tbh you only want to trade with him when he is holding the greatsword with one hand and crossbow in the other. When he start two holding his greatsword he'll poise through lot of attacks
imagine how good of a puppeteer you'd have to be to pick someone up with the jaws of the face you're puppeteering and throw their full body around like a chew toy
Loved when Rellana saw you pull out a flask and you are literally about to chug it, she just straight out says NO, and cuts the flask away from your mouth with a slash from other side of the room lmao! Edging at it's finest.

I’m really glad I’m not the only one out here doing the odd-claw. Once I learned what the claw actually was, I was surprised. I never take my thumb off the dodge/sprint bottom, hence why I play souls games this way.
I am a father of two, ages 3 and 6. When mickey popped up with the surprise tool line, something I have heard maybe thousands of times now, I was not ready. Damn near choked to death on my drink laughing, on my lunch at work. Now my coworkers think I am insane. 10/10, would choke again. Also, I literally stopped watching the video to catch my breath and comment. Gonna finish it now. XD
It literally took me years to figure out how to tame the camera boss... but I've... somewhat overcome it, by controlling it myself half the time. Lock on is such a trap.
I refused to use the mimic tear through the base game on my strength playthrough. I said, "No magic, no summons." Then I started the DLC. I got up to Messmer okay, beat Blackgaol knight on the second try which really irritated my husband (lol), but Rellana was a rough fight. Had to use the jellyfish to finally beat her. But the sunflower... I hate sunflowers in real life, so that one seemed personal. After a dozen tries, I did the walk of shame down to Nokron, got the mimic tear, levelled it up, and said, Ok. Let's do this. Still took me a few more tries. Screw that stupid sunflower. 😒
It's nice to see someone else who basically saw the main path and immediately steered right and ran into logur. I feel like so many people just ignored that path when they first got into the dlc. Nice to see a fellow explorer. Edit: nevermind you got to divine beast and just decided to die more times to it than i did to all the dlc bosses combined 😂
Considering what happened at the start of the elden ring playthrough/series you did i'm so glad you get the chance to experience and have fun with something like this blind along with so many of us without anyone spoiling or backseating it for you...and of course, the fun of watching you suffer too >:3c
Tbh I'm sad so many streamers I like watching are missing out on the cool NPC summons and their mid battle dialogue to "prove a point" :C so even if you want that solo kill, I still highly recommend summoning the NPCs at least a few times so you can hear their dialogue! It's so good! :3
I don't think my brain fully processed the fact that the DLC was real the first time I turned it on, I thought it was supposed to be coming out a day later and I checked the game because it had an update. When I saw Leda standing there I was like "Awesome, this is gonna be fun" but once I started running around I suddenly had this goofy smile on my face that came back every time I ran into something new
what feels like years later. i'm still transfixed by the adorable reactive image. and you're doing very well at further animating it for emotive and reactionary purposes.
The fact that you went after the Blackgaol Knight earlier then me and won where I had to take more time to be prepared, I both applaud you and feel like a angry Pallas cat for doing better then me solo 😂
Divine Beast is such an amazing boss! I used to think it was just a mutated lion but after learning about how its two guys working together in a lion costume I liked it a lot more. They used inspiration really well!
