"Do you see that ceiling? People, look at that ceiling!" - Alexis, shouting at a group of literally blind monks. Ok, I have a theory about the skeleton in the battlemage chamber: Could it be Jagar Tharn? As far as I remember, he died in the palace, right? So it's not completely out of the question that they keep his remains there, especially since that used to be his office.

I had wondered if it was Tharn too. Yeah, he died in the palace. I would have liked to have seen some kind of environmental nod to that being the case.

1:08: Oh God, after getting used to your old recording speed the 60 FPS will take some getting used to. 2:39: LOL, reminds me of when it was announced over the loudspeakers at my high school that it was one of my teachers' birthdays and that he was turning "between 30 and 50", and I wrote on his board "Happy 50th Birthday!" ...Where can I buy the Betamax recordings of the playthrough of Ultima III: Exodus you made 40 years ago? /s 4:26: If they're that deep inside the Tower, they may use something analogous to submarine time, with shorter or longer days depending on requirements. It's weird, though, that the chambers to something this secretive are seemingly not guarded in shifts. 6:15: Not Very Hard? Damn, the game of these Guards is really lacking! 7:53: The reason it doesn't have that may actually be due more to hardware limitations on the computers of the time (as books are physics-activated) than any aesthetic choices by the devs. Also, this place is *so* awesome and brings back *so* many good memories! 10:05: The canon answer is that it is both unknown and likely unknowable. As to the question if it can be deciphered through methods as simple as character replacement like the Daedric Script? No. 11:14: The game states that you are given a real Elder Scroll. However, given the...effects of reading the Scrolls on mortal physiology and the mind, their elusive nature (in literal terms, as they act as they have minds of their own), and the possibility of literal universe-threatening consequences if placed in the wrong hands, Michael Kirkbride (who did contract work for Oblivion and helped lay much of the groundwork for series lore as it exists today) argues that the Moth Priests actually only gave you a copy. If this is the case, it is a testament to the power of the Scrolls that even a mere copy is able to alter the fabric of reality and remain suspect to nearly the same security protocol. 14:14: I wonder what the status of professional sports is in end-3rd Era Tamriel? Do they exist aside from the theatrics of the amphitheatre? That's an interesting question as IRL professional sports only developed according to the modern conception of the term in the mid-19th century. 14:39: It's a bit underwhelming, but that's kind of how most buildings work. You don't expect to see even the grandest structures have one floor of closed Romanesque corridors followed by another floor of open-spaced Rococo. 17:43: Yeah, you really should get back into that. 18:25: No, that honor goes to High Chancellor Ocato of Firsthold. She's the bodyguard. 19:38: LOL! The table is probably for the support staff, given the less spatially segregated room arrangements of the techno-aesthetically equivalent time IRL. 22:09: ...How are you supposed to write all that as you're falling? Alexis has skills! 23:17: If I were the devs, I'd make that fall *way* taller. You really shouldn't be able to survive without the Boots, at least without extra magic. Also, as this fall is programmed to expend the boots, you now get to keep them permanently! 26:49: It depends on the game. I'd be willing to explore that question for the previous games if you want, but for potential spoiler purposes and the fact I am quite tired I cannot in this comment. 29:12: In this situation I kind of disagree with that statement. I really wish I was more awake now and didn't have a task in the near-future I have to be alert for. ;( 30:32: Yeah, it's really more of a trade-off in terms of the potential power of Magic. 32:25: I had a similar feeling with the quarry building near my childhood home. 35:13: ...A Critique of Political Economy? (35:24: Also, it's weird that the Elder Scroll doesn't seem to have its own unique icon.) 37:40: Another great outro!
