ESO practically saved my life. I went from a bad heroin addiction for 10 years to playing ESO on my free time instead. Thank you Elder Scrolls! Best rehab ever!
I wish the theme would come back, or at least the various themes could be chosen at game launch. I do miss the epic feel of this soundtrack. It really set the stage (for me) the battle against Molag Bal and fighting legions of Daedra. I know Bal has taken a back seat in the newer expansions (ahem, and chapters), but being there at launch you felt the sinister talons of Bal everywhere.
@@Jericho_oO I loved that sentence, it's so true. But I've always thought that wasn't the only problem. The fact that the game started with mandatory mensuality made it fall. Those kind of games are not appealing at first and you would only pay if you knew for sure you would enjoy the game. If they had started since the beginning with the optional mensuality like it is today, the game would have been loved since day 1.
Only if I could be born with CHIM (or F5), citizens of Tamriel die quite often, you can't take much as a stroll without getting jumped by wolves, bandits, bears, giant spiders, spriggans, shalks, trolls or dragons. If you don't die that way, it's likely you'll kick the jug by being slaughtered in one of the many Tamrielic wars, zombie invasions, stomped to death by mammoths or moving graht-oaks, shanked or zapped respectively by racist nords or altmer, be "disposed" of in a political conspiracy, accidentally step a rule made by one of the billions of cultures and be executed, walk into the turf of an ancient cult and be ritually murdered, chill in Morrowind in year 5 of 4E, be an orc, make a pact with a deadric prince, be killed by one of the hundreds of plagues throughout the history, or just encounter a glitch and fall straight trough the floor and down into the Void.
Michael Prunka Same here, nothing helps me batter through work than the thought of facing Aldmeri and Ebonheart scum later on :-P, Daggerfall will reign supreme!!
+adamsgaming DIVISION You're laughing at yourself, many people who play games have a social life. I played a lot of Teso lately, I work, I go to gym, and I often meet with my friends, I don't see your points about dedicated gamers.
+Michael Prunka I associate certain music to things I study or am doing. So playing this while doing my online course means later when I hear this music I will not only think of hacking my way through Tamriel, I'll also remember the knowledge my course has given me! In effect, play music while studying. You'd be amazed what you'll remember.
I remember playing ESO with my online friends for years. It was fun exploring the lands of Tamriel with them. Sadly we’ve drifted apart over the years, this music brings back good memories of our ESO journeys as Khajiit and Mer :)
@@pikewerfer I am not the OP, but I wish I could. But I am not returning til they allow Console Players to migrate to PC. I didn't spend almost 2000€ on a gaming PC of high mid-tier to continue playing ESO on my Xbox Series S.
+Gial Ackbar The gentle clicking as you swap from character to inventory then to the map with that page turning noise as you go to see where abouts you are on the map of Cyrodiil.
jbloun911 the game itself is not bad. it's just missing something. and i'm not sure what. i think we should give it a little more time. maybe till update 7
SwongoBricks I agree I think allot of people are mistakenly considering it a bad game when really it's just doesn't have the "feel" of a TES game. I think it's still hella fun regardless and my only real problem is that it may be breaking some lore elements with the whole "any race with any faction" thing which is sweet for gameplay but kinda doesn't fit with the lore.
I love this shit. I started with oblivion and look forward to more. At 42, I hope to see so much in shoter time spans. Now to sleep and dream of worlds I'd rather adventure in. Corny, but true.
So proud of myself for sticking with the game since launch. It has truly been an experience. The game has only gotten better and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
I'm so late to the party having only just started my first character! I'm lvl 15 and can't believe I waited this long to try this. Best mmo i've ever played!
This soundtrack is awesome, elder scrolls V: Skyrim soundtrack was phenomenal, but does anyone here still like Oblivion soundtrack the best? It's not quite as epic as the other 2, but it seems more soothing and atmospheric.
Yeah it is funny that one of my favourite parts of the soundtrack is an oblivion theme. Actually this soundtrack is really nice, but there's problems with it blending with the game. It's made for an MMO where there's not much dynamic activity with the NPCs so it's hard to have the right theme playing in the right place. Sometimes the right music happens but it's random not intended. On the other hand a lot of the time the music just feels strange for the area you are in the game. This is my opinion after playing ESO for 6 months. I wish they had more epic music for PvP battles as well. Evnetually I just ended up muting the music, even though I do enjoy listening to the soundtrack. Oblivion soundtrack is still memorable even if it's a bit dated. Main reason is I had a couple of moments in the game that just stick with you and the music playing at that time was great, so just listening to it reminds of you of that moment in the game.
I came here to listen to music while I work, but I cant. Since I turned off the music to the game (about 4 years ago) I haven't heard the music since. Listening to this has given me so many nostalgic memories and flashbacks to a stress-free time in my life where I could immerse myself and ignore the outside world. Now I'm final year of Uni and there's a lot to clean up. I'd like to experience this feeling of immersion again at some point in the future, it's just sad to think it'll probably be when I'm retired and ESO will be a long lost game.
Bethesda and Jeremy Soule, my eternal love for them for providing us the best immersive RPG games and music so we can relax and forget about every nasty thing this world throws at us.
+Burrito Measter Roasted like, that one time, I... got in a fight.. In.. highschool and then... I lost.. my friends made fun of me... I have lost all dignity... I mean when I totally won that fight!
I swear, when I heard "Dawn Gleams on Cyrodiil", I quite literally felt like Samurai Jack when he sees the ruins of his old home. The sense of nostalgia and sadness over a once beautiful land now torn asunder by minions of Oblivion. To know the glorious Empire burns in Molag Bal's hand. It breaks one's heart but also brings back good memories or TES4 (although with different empires). Made me feel just like Samurai Jack.
49:36 Every single fucking time this comes on. Goosebumps. Edit: In all of my hundreds of hours in ESO, I have not heard Tides of the Abecean Sea until now, and I cannot believe this, but the track is absolutely perfect and immeasurably beautiful, amazing job, Brad Derrick, I love it!
my top 5 favorite soundtracks is: -Rubble and smoke (34:03) -whispers of the ancestors (51:31) Rik Schaffer northpiont nocturne (02:15:35) -sands of the Alik'r (58:06) - to dance with daedra (1:21:55)
-whispers of the ancestors (51:31) is a banger. I use this video to write my fantasy novel and by the time this song starts playing, I already write for 50 minutes and tempo stabilizes... And stuff starts happening!
I can't explain how much I love this soundtrack. There's just something so magical and uplifting about it that gives me chills. When I'm playing the game I rarely actually listen, but when it's just the music it's makes me really see how much work the developers but into it.
This music makes me feel like i could take over the world, seriously the best game music out there. The cinematics are great, gameplay is awesome, ESO is and will always be the best game out there.
dayum, with all the elements in previous games they make this excellent. If they had Jeremy Soule with them these songs would be anywhere in the internet.
Elder Scrolls Online is the best game I ever played, the fine quality fantasy, the lore, the quests, dungeons, accessories for characters, customization, magic, weapons, interactive elements, music, graphics,, game presentation, the game's immersive magical realm and everything ,The Elder Scrolls Online games shine like silver!!
How does Jeremy Soule keep doing it. His music just keeps getting more brilliant every year I first hear his music when Icewind Dale came out in 2000. and have been listening to him ever since
35:24 "Y'ffre In Every Leaf" sounds like one of the perfect exploration tracks for a main TES game set in Valenwood. :D (Night-time exploration, I guess)
"Northpoint Nocturne" 02:15:35 This makes me imagine a peacefull snowy landscape, a small polar fox is chasing a squirrel, and your partner has just finished starting the campfire. The sun is rising. Breakfast, delicious mudcrab meat, is roasting on the fire. You clamp together and eat the tasty meat. So peacefull...
+Alliancegroup Financial I new to this addiction, it's my second day of it! But I 'm loving it! I WANT MORE, GIVE ME MORE PLEASE! Thanks MrMustacheMan (who looks like a cat)!
The second song Moons of Evening Star is very relaxing. There has been several times where I would pass out in front of my computer and the game would log me out. I would wake up with this song playing on the title screen after getting booted.
I think I never going to forget the feeling which flowed through me when I was suddenly in the Eastmarch and there it was Windhelm... like in Skyrim what I used to play and realize this is new Skyrim territory in this game and at the same time began the soundtrackt Tides of the Abecean Sea
This must be a dream... listened for the whole thing, got this moment replayed for dozens of times, tried to search for it and bam - here's you comment~
This soundtrack is amazing, worthy of an Elder Scrolls game. It kinda makes me want to play ESO again(I only played it during the beta). Maybe I will sometime in the future.
Evan Cunningham Was it announced? Or it's just speculation? Because I've hard rumors about ESO going F2P in the near future because of the lack of subs or whatever
It's officially confirmed, March 16th it will go B2P and then you can continue your subscription fee to receive extra goodies and cosmetics for the new player trade market done with micro- transactions
Playing the muted game at the moment and listening to your stream ;-p I really can't believe how long I've ignored The Elder Scrolls Online, although I love all the offline games of the franchise. Since Steam made a sale on Valentine's weekend, I got me the Imperial Edition --- and well I am totally sucked into the game. The graphics, the incredible soundtrack, the main story line, many of the quests -- it's so amazing. And I am in some really nice and friendly guilds too. Just try it already if you love the Elder Scrolls. It's just so lore heavy. With a lot of quests (not all of them of course) where you really care about the outcome.
jeremy soule isn't behind the soundtrack for this game sadly. he's made the elder scrolls music since at least morrowind i know, and he made the amazing soundtracks for guild wars, but not ESO for some reason. anyway i love the GW soundtracks, both of them are so great and so similar it's hard to pick between GW1 and 2.
You guys should check out the music added to GW2 during Living World Season 2. There's like 18 tracks in a playlist here on RU-vid and they're done by a couple ANet composers rather than Jeremy Soule... but they're all recorded from a live orchestra vs the synthesized tunes Soule put together himself! I actually had no idea all of his GW2 music was synth, still incredible to listen to, but the tracks they added in Season 2 are phenomenal
Listening to the on my final leg of recording Dunnmer lines for Skywind .... after 5 years on this project, it's bittersweet but I've learnt and grown into the VA I am today because of this project. I can't way for Skywind to be released!
I kind of miss this title theme, I feel like it's much more epic than the current Morrowind one, although the Morrowind one definitely has the feels of TES III.
I’m LIVING for the amount of English horn used in this score jfc! I’m an Oboe/EH player and I prefer to play English horn so hearing it so much in this score makes me so happy ☺️
Moons of the evening star! That's what it's called! Thank you! I almost always hear this first after loading in. I love the vocal chorale, so soothing 😌
This sound track scares me, because I know that one day in 5 years I'm going to be listening to it again, but I'll be missing it instead of enjoying it :-(
+xMacdxl Oh, the absolute irony in that comment. Make Nirn what is rightfully theirs? OH THE IRONY The Daedra are those that never agreed to the creation of Nirn/Abandoned it mid-progress. The 8 divines are the ones that stayed till the very end. Then there's Lorkhan...
Lorkhan was a deceitful Et'da who tricked the weaklings we now as Aedra into contributing to the creation of what should be considered a mistake of the mortal realm of Mundus. The Deadra were right to choose not to contribute. Even Magnus himself saw Lorkhan's creation as a failure and retreated to Aetherius.
xMacdxl Not helping in doing something =/= making it rightfully yours Also, books depict Lorkhan being both deceitful and not deceitful, but we do not know whether he actually tricked the Aedra or not
Frosty Ace does the world feel populated though? It's not a very popular MMO so I hope the players are all on one server rather than split up in to lots of them and making the world feel empty.
RedPillDestiny Everybody is on one megaserver so you have the European one and the American one. Just choose which one you want to play on and you'll be playing with every single other person on that server. No hassle in which server to pick. I've just recently picked it up after stopping the second month after launch. The improvements they've made since release is staggering, especially considering the work they had in front of them to "fix" the game. I'd say give it a shot, the subscription is already gone so no reason to not try it :)
Just returned to this game a couple weeks ago. I forgot how much fun it is! The new updates (especially One Tamriel) make it way better too! And the music.....fantastic!!!!
I live in Clockwork City! Should you ever get there, come visit me - my home is west of the great city! Cross the bridge, then use the elevator to come up to the platform. The view is amazing - especially at night. Should I not be in, then one of my servants will serve you a drink and entertain you until I get back. Please enjoy - I recommend the greenhouse with all the colorful plants I collected from all over Tamriel. If you need crafting, there are tables on the high terrace. Should you need a merchant or a banker, these can be found in the cellars. Also, enjoy the collection of unique antiquities - you will find them in the extension outside of the cellars.... there is so much to explore. And if you are brave enough - perhaps I will take you along on my next adventure? Long live Tamriel!
Amazing. Just to warn you on something. Don't be surprised if your video be terminated because of ZeniMax. My old account was terminated because i uploaded all Skyrim musics and ZeniMax was jelaous that music had lot of views. Same happend to others who uploaded, ZeniMax sucks. Just want to peoples don't hear and forcing buy CD to listen.
