The Elephants React to a Massive Buffalo Herd at the Waterhole 

Sebakwe, masive strength, calmly saunders toward bufflo. Without trumpeting, communicates: "Everybody just slowly move back, and no one gets hurt."

The sound of trumpeting elephants never gets old!

Strength in numbers doesn’t always work in your favor when encountering a herd of Elephants, even if that herd is smaller. Elephants rule the land. Patience is what will keep the Buffalo safe. In other words, step back guys & wait your turn. Again. Pisa, what a little stormtrooper! ❤

The one thing that stands out to me from this video is this: at least in/on HERD lands, there always WILL be water holes with water in them. So other animals can circle back to the water and there will always be some for them. Which is certainly not the case everywhere else. Thank you HERD and supporters for this wonderful gift to the animals.🥰🙏🕊

Oh Pisa our independent free spirit firecracker girl always making sure her family is first at the waterhole telling those buffalo 🐃 off so they know who’s really in charge lol. It is cool how the herd only chases the buffalo from the edge of the water, they let them wait in the background. It's a lovely herd of buffalo too! 💚

That is a very large group of Buffalo 🐃. It didn't take them long to move out of the way when the Jabulani HERD 🐘 moved in and use intimidation to get their way. Kumbura truly loves being an allomother. Since Phabeni seems to be at the orphanage, she's following Khanyisa around with a huge herd of buffalos just standing nearby. She never gives herself a break from nanny duties. I love her. I also love Pisa's confidence with facing the buffalos by herself. This is a beautiful interaction. I do hope the buffalos already have their fill of water. If not yet, I am sure the ellies will allow them to have their turn after they're done. Thank you, Last for capturing this moment. It was very interesting to watch Mambo running after Pisa and Kumbura running after Khanyisa. Pisa is always brave and Khanyisa is discovering her bravery. I think she feels like she is growing up now that she has a baby brother.

Liittle Pisa is an Warlord Elephant Princess in the making. Not long ago we saw her trying to join the sparring with the young male bull elephants, and now she's leading the whole pack to chase off buffalo and clear the area. Who knew still waters could be so feisty!
