@theelovators Thank you for stopping the show temporarily, I was one of the people running through the crowd looking for medics or security. You guys sounded incredible and I loved the set! Thanks again 🤙
I really like The Elovators but this is exactly the same set they played at The Cornerstone in Berkeley a few days before on BOTH nights. These younger bands need to learn to mix up the songs in their sets, particularly if they are playing multiple nights in the same place. That was what so great about the original Grateful Dead; that is, you could go to a 3 night run and not hear one repeat song. The Dead also played the old songs differently each time, not like these young reggae bands that don’t know how to jam or improvise. Maybe they’ll get more creative over time; I hope so.
They probably just go with their most popular songs. I understand where you’re coming from for sure. I’ll see them live for the first time come October but I feel like these big shows aren’t really their thing. Intimate smaller shows I feel like may be more of a magical experience with them.
