Legolas : *jumps off a feather, walks on water, scales an avalanche past vertical Also Legolas : trips on pebble, tangles himself in loose rope on the ledge, over balances...
Imagine if all their dialogues in the movie were like this: -Hello, dad -Hello, son -We captured Thorin Oakenshield, dad -Bring him to me, son -Ok, dad * -Hello again, dad -Hello again, son -I'm going after the dwarves that escaped, dad -That's good, son -Bye, dad -Bye, son * -Hello, dad -Hello, son -The orcs are going to attack Erebor, dad -Guess I'll have to go there myself, son -See you there then, dad -See you there, son * -Hello, dad -Hello, son -Nice elk, dad -Thanks, son
@@marcoantunes1813 He does not. If I recall correctly, in the films he is only mentioned whenever Legolas is introduced as "son of Thranduil". However in the books Tolkien says that Thranduil captured and imprisioned Gollum by request of Gandalf (as the wizard wanted to learn more about the One Ring), but the creature is freed after some orcs attack Mirkwood. During the War of the Ring, he fought several battles to keep his realm safe from the armies of Mordor, and also fought alongside the Men of Vale and the Dwarves of Erebor. Towards the end of the war, he assisted Celeborn and Galadriel in attacking Dol Guldur and expelling Khamul the Easterling, second in command of the Nazgul. He continued to reign in Mirkwood after Sauron's destruction
Lee Pace's portrayal of the elvenking couldn't have been bested. I'm convinced it's his performance that inspired interest from the viewers, which ultimately helped the community grow. That, or simply just how beautiful he looks as thranduil. Nonetheless, we're certainly lucky Lee Pace got to play the part. He owns it.
Do not compare characters with real people. Of course the actors have a sense of humour and of course in the movie they are serious. The movie is not a comedy.
I agree...when they invited dwarves to din din at Rivendell was amusing. Food fight and all. That's what happens when you invite rednecks to the palace of Versailles !! The elves ran out of beer, the dwarves were all half in the bag.
When King Thranduil is walking around the set as Thranduil and not as Lee Pace. Hair, crown and cape being tend by his servants like all the time. I want to be his servant elf 😍
Everybody else in the comment section be fanboying/fangirling about Thranduil & Legolas meanwhile I be the only one who had the greatest and first fictional male crush on Elrond since childhood and still my favorite character in the series. Bless you, Hugo Weaving. ♧
I was so sorry to see that there weren't more scenes in the film that featured Pace ❤! His appearance alone, just blew me away! Long Live Lee! Thank you
“Generous”. he says and walks away everyone thinking he’s done, but nooooooo He pops his head out and says. “But not very pleasant” And then they zoom in on another face...
I just remember when we watched it for the first time. Thranduil got introduced and my mum and sister said, in sync: "he's not as good looking as Legolas". Made my day
This is why I love being in the production team when there drama play on our school cause I see everything from the worst, ups and down and interact with the actors and actresses.
I love these bts. I grew watching Hugo Weaving in Matrix and in LOTR just being heroic or villainous (and a SUPERB one at that) and just seeing him laugh and being silly with his costars just adds to his coolness!
