Because of his exemplary noble personality, and the fact that he made sure that Marcus Aurelius would become one of Rome's next emperors, I think Hadrian may be regarded as the best ruler Rome ever had!
Jews after the end of the Babylonian Empire: "NOW THAT WE ARE FREE, WE SHALL MAKE SURE NO ONE WILL EVER DESTROY OUR CITY AGAIN!!!" Hadrian: "I am going to make a Pro Gamer Move..."
Hadrian is my favorite Roman Emperor, along with Marcus Aurelius. A truly admirable man. But I don't understand why not cite his love for Antinous and the founding of the Antinous religion, which rivaled Christianity itself for centuries until it was banned along with other "pagan" (=non-Christian) religions by Theodosius and was revived in the days of today.
...And started killing EVERY SINGLE JEW he found. No mercy was shown, no quarter given. Hadrian will settle with nothing less... But the complete destruction of Judaea!
@@npalmi88 It is a fact and a compliment.. He made his lover a God after mourning his death. Ask Alexander The Great or Elton John. It's a special gig.
The U.S. Supreme Court just committed suicide. Once 45 reclaims power like the Roman emperors, slipping from a democracy to a theocracy. In real time just hope we have an Emperor Hadrian instead of Emperor Nero.
Emperor Hadrain hated the Jews for their revolt against him so in order to humiliate them he changed their name Israel to Palestine after their arch enemies the Philistines, so in reality there is no such thing as a Palestine people or Palestine state; Israel is the true name and the true nation and Jerusalem is its Capitol.
You literally just said it existed and the people it was named after, just because it was out of spite and you don’t like it does not invalidate it. No matter the reason, if it was referred to Palestine by the Roman government that means it officially existed. Either way, the word Palestine was used to describe the area long before Hadrian.
I had a supervisor sounds like the name of Emperor Hadrian. I speak my mind and heart. I dictate to administer well. I had a workmate female with name sounds like Rome.
