Another new diplomatic option is "Start Feud." I don't know exactly how it works, but I assume it's something just short of war, similarly to the "declare rivalry" diplomatic option from Stellaris.

He Jin was a general who had planned to get rid of the Eunuchs from the court. However, they caught wind of the attempt and lured him into a trap and murdered him. The result can be played as Dong Zhuo.

@@Nubsteplawl had he succeeded, it's extremely possible that the Han remains in power for longer. At the same time, perhaps he'd become a worse tyrant than Dong Zhuo.

@@Nubsteplawl liu hong would have died in 189 and most likely he and the empress would have seize power as regent and co-regent. Likely no warlord would have enought support to oposse them and the han dinasty would have last longer, Cao Cao would still have been taking care of the cavalry. Liu Bei would still being making shoes and Zhuge Liang would still been sleeping in the mountain xD

He Jins nickname as The Butcher Of the He was because he was literally a butcher (sold meat) before his sister married the emperor, rather than due to any psychotic warlord shenanigans. it was him who summoned Dong Zhou to the imperial court to help counter the eunuchs, but Jin was murdered before Dong arrived, kicking off the riots that led to Dong seizing power *edited to add more history stuff*

He Jin is the older brother to Empress He Emperor lings wife and the mother to Emperor Shao the brother to Emperor Xian. He Jin was a common butch until his sister married Emperor Ling. He would later give all a lot milateiry power to the regional lords and this would help lead to the civil wars that would start after the ant Dong Zhuo alliance. He himself was unable to for see this.

Most organizations lack oversight of what their actions will lead to. It's why there is a checks and balance in the US government. Some groups will devour anything they can to gain whatever power they can for their own faction unbeknownst to the downfall they will eventually cause because they simply can't predict the future like we can in a video game. As a result, the eunuchs didn't know their hoarding of power will eventually lead to the collapse of Han empire.

@@Jake-dh9qk The eunuchs are usually men with no talent who willing to be castrated in order to make a lot of money in the imperial palace. Letting uneducated people have strong influence in the government is basically a recipe for disaster.

Elected, not necessarily dynastic. Additionally, the Empire of Man is a confederacy with the emperor first among equals in many areas, not a "divinely mandated" central authority.

@@aleronzacchaeus4175 There have been more than 2; every founding emperor fought in battle. hell, there even have been more than 2 emperors captured in battle... For example, Emperor Ying of Ming dynasty led 500,000 men against the Oirat mongols, lost everyone and was captured in battle.

Lionheart keep up the good intro streak (for your Huang Shao series and now this) Reminder: The replenishment for He Jin’s army is very low, so it is best to not engage in a large battle where you would lose a lot of troops until you can get the replenishment buffs from the tech tree. You could also try to use the administrator slots (maybe 1) for the increased replenishment rate.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you assign a character, those benefits don't kick in until the next turn. If those effects are building construction-based, they only affect NEW construction project enacted while that character is assigned. So if you construct something then assign in the same turn, you won't get the benefit until that building is done and you assign a new one...(as long as they're still assigned when you start the new project.)

I wish that they would’ve taken all of the warlords from the base game and give them similar art changes to Dong Zhou. It’d make a fun reminder that all of the characters are 10-12 years younger and that there personalities are a little different

I suggest to not try changing the initial Imperial Army, purely because it works as it is, even if He Jin is a sentinel. Because the Imperial Units are so good, they do not really need to correspond to the Character's type, and another reason being your economy...

Eunuch selection criteria in a nutshell (needs fact checking): good family, talented etc. Basically the best butlers possible and because emperor's intrinsically trust people willing to mutilate themselves to prove their loyalty.

I'm really looking forward to playing this dlc it looks fun! For future dlc maybe they could do one set when the three kingdoms establish with shu Wei and wu. I know it would be difficult to implement but still fun though!

Yes the Mandate of Heaven DLC starts at 182CE whereas the main 3K campaign starts in 190CE so it’s 8 years before the main campaign starts.

Yes. The main game starts right after Dong Zhuo was chased off by the coalition of warlords. But he got to that position because he made great strides against the Yellow Turbans during this period and became the 2nd or 3rd strongest warlord. Him and Yuan Shao were both near the capital when the Eunuchs started a rebellion of their own and managed to kill He Jin, then Dong swooped in once he was dead and scooped up the child emperor to position himself as his guardian.

You have like 30 Eunuchs in your court, all the nobles with green icons count as Eunuchs. Also you don’t need to remove people from court to recruit them. Other than that cool vid

Andreas Lindström it’s a 3.5hr video and my ad placement is the same as my regular 30/40min videos where I place an ad roughly every 20-30mins. In fact after the first 1.5hrs of this video the ads get even more spaced out. I appreciate ads are annoying but to support all this free content it’s a fair trade off especially when the video is 3.5hrs long. If I’d placed 10 ads in a 30min video then sure that’s way too many!

I hate this game what ever i do i just get killed off with in 5 turns, i iattack a city , which wipes my army out then i get attacked by 3 frsh armies , the game is crap and biased
