Oh! Here’s a promo for my crossover series, The Emperor’s New School featuring Tak. Me as the Announcer: First, There was a movie about him. And then, Kronk starred in the direct to DVD sequel, Now, get ready for a tv show starring Kuzco! Your favorite Emperor. Kuzco: Clever. Me: But to stay Emperor, he’s gotta go back to school. And Yzma’s back to make sure he fails. But no worries, because all of Kuzco’s buddies are there to help him out. There’s Munk, Mambo, Flik, The Mane six- Tak: Don’t forget me! Me: That’s right, And Tak is back too as Kuzco’s little brother. Did I mention it stars Kuzco? Yeah, yeah. And Kronk’s back too. Kuzco: Plus me! Me: And, Kuzco’s got a new Hottie Hot Hottie friend, Malina. Malina: (Sighs) Kronk. Kuzco: 😒 Me: The Emperor’s New School, Featuring Tak. Kuzco: And starring, Me! Yzma: Once Kuzco fails school, I’ll become Empress! (Cackles) (Coughs).
@Mystra Copeland Because it basically takes everything that made "The Emperor's New Groove" so funny, and sucks every last bit of dignity away from it.
@Mystra Copeland Yeah but they run that joke into the ground every single episode, and honestlt every time they do it, I keep thinking "Why don't I just watch "The Emperor's New Groove"? Hell "Kronk's New Groove" had more dignity then this show!
@Mystra Copeland Well it was the only sequel. Also Doug Walker (Nostalgia Critic) never said it was the worst sequel. He got more angry at "Belle's Magical World" and "Mulan 2". And I agree "Kronks New Groove" was a bad sequel, but at least it tried to be its own thing, whereas "Emperor's New School" so desparately wants to be like its 2000 counterpart, so it literally copies everything the movie did, but does it all noticably worse. For example, Yzma wants to make Kuzco flunk school, whereas in "The Emperor's New Groove" she wanted Kuzco dead.
@Mystra Copeland But if it takes place between both films, Kuzco was already a changed person by the end of the first film. He was still a bit cocky, but he clearly learned that the world doesn't revolve around him. So really there's no need for Kuzco to be a stuck up ass wipe in "Emperor's New School".
I know this comment is 4 years old but I just want to say how wrong you are. It's one of the best things Disney has produced and takes everything great from the film and expans on it in a great way. ✌️
