If she was a bit older, DH being clingy that he is will gladly die with her but because she’s still young he wants her to go on with her life more and just wanted to see her one last time before he goes to the fight where he might die.

If it was me, I’ll also choose to die alone than die with person I love just because I can’t be separated with them. This is the only selfless thing that DH actually did for FJ. Because DH has always been selfish in regards to FJ and FJ knows this. That’s why FJ believes that DH left her because the DH she knows will choose to die with FJ than left her alive. The only reason DH didn’t brought FJ is because she’s still young and haven’t experienced a lot of things.

@@Am4ii it worked out in the end anyways. He unknowingly protected his unborn child and by the time she went back to the immortal realm, the child was a young child. Old enough that she doesn't need to worry about him.

It’s not like he was on vacation. He was ‘fighting’ he actually delayed it than necessary. It’s just got to the point that he could no longer delay the actual fight as he no longer have the strength to go on with it. He actually assigned Yan to tell her when it started but Yan forgot and later DH realized that he doesn’t want FJ involved/ to know because he knows his fighting a losing war. If you compare this to a mortal life it’s like DH is in his 60-100 years old guy who married a 18 year girl and you want him to bring his wife with him to a losing war to die with him? Sorry for the age gap scenario but it’s really their possible age scenario. Although FJ is 32k years old for them this is considered a baby’s aged(14-18 in mortal) which means she hasn’t experienced much with life still. The drama could not stress this enough how very young FJ is, this is the only reason why DH didn’t really choose to die with her as clingy as he is.
