I really feel in line with the Karl Franz on this one. Had never touched Empire before Elspeth and if you've never played him that campaign is a nightmare with everyone around you collapsing and the AI being as helpful as a dump on the doormat.

Clan Moulder starts with an Under City in Altdorf

Skyre starts out with a undercity in Altdorf.

Ever since the second overhaul of the Empire, playing as Karl has become more a game of whack-a-mole than ever. I played just after the update, and I was fighting to hold my Authority just at "Stagnant" every step of the way! Also, I'm pretty sure that Under-City beneath Altdorf spawns at game start. I believe it's meant to encourage the AI to build a network under the Empire, to reflect how the Skaven regularly use the sewers beneath Imperial cities in the lore.

Playing the empire for the first time is the canon event of all warhammer tw players

It seems even after the update that Karl Franz is still putting out fires all over the Empire because the Elector Counts are too Inept to survive

1:50 the skaven undercity in altdorf in my experience is scripted, there always there around turn 4 or 5 in my experience

@Epicsynergy I have an idea for you guys, play a game or two with small unit size. It actually makes a pretty big difference, especially in manual battles. I would love to see that :)

Summon the Elector Counts Literally none of the playable factions outside Reikland are Elector counts, unless you count Volkmar with his 3 votes

When warhammer 3 came out it was the first one I've played and to this day I still refuse to play the empire unless its that ww2 mod. So I don't blame the guy for not knowing karl franz I think the empire has a really boring and/or at least a undeniably simple roster. The irony being that cathay was the first faction I played and absolutely loved all because I enjoyed being a spellcaster switching to a dragon. I look at the empire and see "Look at me I'm on a giant bird horse" whoop dee doo.
