Guys im not depressed i just find the music cool

My mom has cancer and I’m alone in college. Years of surviving my fathers unrelenting abuse,a massive hurricane, and multiple suicide attempts, the fear of me being the last member of my bloodline scares me. If I die, I have failed my mother and it would be my fault of ending thousands years of family members shirking plagues, wars, and natural disasters. My friends cut contact with me or have forgotten about me and now I’m alone. My mother has had multiple surgeries and now has a nasty scar on her. This fear is the only thing stopping me from letting my depression take over. But I’m losing myself. I haven’t felt truly happy for years it felt like. Things I liked doing now show no interest for me. If you have finished reading this, do not be like me. Cherish what you have and remember you are fortunate for the things you have in life even if it’s only a few. Hug your parents, siblings, friends, aunts, uncles, pets, etc. You are lucky to have them. I hope things become better for me because so far, I do not know how much longer I can stand up against what life is throwing at me. I love you. So love yourself. To late for me but I believe in you. Please, be the ideal human I could never become. You are my sibling by evolution and because of that, I want you to succeed where I couldn’t. If you win, you will win for me.

Crazy how music can change your mood if you think about it

crazy to think that every house you look at has a different story going on inside of it

man the first song is magical in every sense...it makes me feel nostalgic, lonely, happy and grateful at the same time. idk how to explain it.

Several yers ago, me and two of my friends were on a long hike in the mountains up in northern Scandinavia. It was towards the end of summer, but it was still sunny and warm, at least during daytime. It is breathtakingly beautiful up there, and you can walk for days without ever even crossing a trail or road. The landscape is stunning, wide open green valleys of low growing herbs and flowers in between imposing black mountains with snowy peaks. There are streams of freezing cold water, cascading from glacers with blue ice, and so clean you can drink it without any risk whatsoever. There is a strong sense of solitude when you walk further in between the mountains, you leave the modern world behind and enter primeval nature. The three of started our journey into one of the longer valleys, setting out from an isolated tourist station only reachable by steep mountain hiking (and supplied twice a year by helicopter!). The valley is long and at places narrow enough that it would only take 20-30 minutes to cross it's width. After about 6 days of hiking, we reached the end of the valley, and now our route would take us up through a mountain pass, only about one mile of vertical elevation to climb, but through rough and steep terrain. It took most of a day to summit the pass; but on our descent into the next valley, I fell and tumbled down a moraine ridge of gravel and sharp boulders. Miraculously, I was mostly unharmed, but I did get a slight concussion and severely sprain a knee. Had I been hiking solo, this would likely have been a death sentence, or at the very least a harrowing ordeal. As it was now, my life was not in any danger, we were not novice hikers, and my comrades are strong guys. We were still well above the limit of were tress grow, but my one of my friends left his rucksack, solo descended down the mountain into the next valley, carved two crunches from a small arctic birch tree and then returned. Meanwhile, my other friend found a flat spot with cover from wind, and set up tent, as I was in no condition to move. That night, I had a hard time sleeping. I was in a great deal of pain, and a bit nauseous from the concussion. I was also quite worried, because I was unsure of how badly I had busted my knee and if it wss ever gonna be alright again. But eventually, I fell asleep. I don't know if it was because of the concussion or the stress from the situation, but I had the most vivid dream I've ever had. I dreamt about one of my friends from highschool; she was a lot like me but much smarter, mature and more social. Throughout highschool, she was the cool older sister I never had. She brought me (I was a quite shy guy at the time) to parties, introduced me to science and taught me a great deal about girls. She was there for me when my first serious girlfriend dumped me, she was there for me when I got a depression after my grandparents died. I absolutely idolized her, she was my role model throughout my late teens. But she died before college, and I didn't even get to go to her funeral (I was overseas at the time). The dream was about us sitting in the highscool cafeteria, just talking. I don't remember much about what we said in the conversation, but I rember the happy feeling and us laughing and smiling. And I remeber telling her how good a friend she was, and how much she meant to me, how much she had taught me. And I rember her telling me "I know" and hugging me. I apparently I slept for almost 12hours. When I woke up, I sobbed and ugly-cried for several minutes (felt like an hour though). It was weird feeling, like I had just let go of a ton of rocks. That dream gave me a lot of closure, and my friends were with me the entire time. I got down from that mountain, with no further accidents. It took another 9 gruelling days hobbling slowly on improvised cruches to get back to civilisation, and the last 2 days were without food (since I slowed us down so much that even our extra reserves depleted). Never any real issue, since we had plenty of good fresh water available, but let me tell you, that first meal after getting back (kebab-pizza! It's kebab on a pizza!) tasted absolutely heavenly. Also, my knee wasn't ruined, like I feared. It didn't need any surgery, but it took 3 months of rehab before I was back squatting in the gym. I don't know why I'm writing all this in a RU-vid comment, but it's been quite cathartic to write it; music is weird that way. Anyways, 9/10 vacation would do it again. Can absolutely recommend hiking in Scandinavia, but try to avoid falling and hurting yourself. And hug your friends and let them know how much they mean to you! At some point, you'll hug them for the last time, even though you may not know when. So let them know!

As the final chapter draws near, the bitter taste of goodbye lingers on my tongue, and the weight of the world crushes down on my heart.

I scroll through these comments and they make me think about everything in my life. As I listen to this music in the back round, I begin to realize how good I'm living right now. I have a roof over my head, I have a meal 3 times a a day, I have friends, and I have family to see every day. When you are feeling sad, alone, or like you don't belong, think of all the good memories you've had with anyone in your life. Take yourself back to that day in time and how happy you felt. Think about that past self seeing yourself in real time. Think about how they would feel. Think about how scared they would feel if they knew that it was themselves, but in the future. Their mood would be ruined. So I want you to feel grateful for everything and everyone that you have around you these days. And don't feel bad that something bad happened. Because in the end, it's just life. My favorite quote is "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." So once again, think about who you have around you, and be happy. After all, you have one life to live, so live to the fullest. Don't waste your time being sad. Now as I read over everything that I just said. I know that I am feeling a bit sad myself right now. So I want to change. I want to re-read this over again and think about everything that's going on. And I hope you do as well. But after all that being said. I hope you have a better day, and I'm proud of you. I don't know you, you don't know me. But I am proud of you. I'm proud of the person you've become. I'm proud that you are still living. If you are still reading this, thank you for taking your time, and I hope your future brightens up if things are getting dark right now. I love you stranger.

I came home after a rather unpleasant surgery a few months ago, feeling like utter crap. I woke up at 12 AM after going to sleep at 6 PM, and found this once I got on my computer. I let the music play as I stared at the stars outside, watching them glisten in the nigh-endless void of the sky for what felt like an hour as this video played in the background. I went back to bed and had what felt like the best sleep of my life. I still look back on that surreal memory, occasionally hearing the tracks looping in my mind as I stared into the sparkling abyss. And everything was okay for a short while.

All good things must come to an end, because a new story can only begin when an old one ends.

Is it weird that the concept of "The End" is so comforting to me, even the words alone? It's like how one is excited to find out how a movie or book ends. Ever since I was a kid "The End" is such a comforting and fascinating concept, I can't explain why i'm wired like that to enjoy such a macabre end of the world thought, all that I know is oddly enough it brings me peace. I wish I could fall asleep to this audio.

В них для меня чувствуется какое-то чувство безысходности вперемешку с спокойствеем и легкой надеждой, что все наладется и что все не так плохо. Правда в такие моменты, когда ты слушаешь подобное хочется просто навек остаться на месте наблюдая из окна за ночным небом или закатом опустошенным взглядом. Словно из тебя выжили все что могли и теперь бросили оставив совершенно одну в этом громадном и жестоком мире. 1:50 reminds me of when me and him were standing on a highway bridge in the middle of the night, 2 am in the morning, he had his back turned against me- standing in the middle of the road on the dark bridge just staring up at the stars. in that moment, it felt like we were the only ones alive, how much freedom i felt in that few seconds, how beautiful he looked standing there. this makes me think of me and her when we were in my room that night. it was 2 am and it was dark, the only light was my star galaxy projector and the dim red LED lights. We just laid on my bed talking amongst ourselves about the universe , and how it felt like we were the only ones in that moment. just as if the world around us disappeared leaving only us.

I wasn't looking for music, music found me

I love these ambient videos. I lost my sister when I was very young and she was only 5 when her life ended. These videos really help me cope with loss and the emptiness i feel as a result of it. My grandfather who practically raised me recently got diagnosed with dementia, and it’s making me think again about loss and life and death. These videos are oddly comforting to me, and it helps me think about how death is a natural process. Everyone dies, and life and death are just different sides of the same coin. I shouldn’t fear death for myself or for others. Death is just as necessary as life. Everything has an end.

Remember when you’re aging, this is only the beginning you still have a lot more years to go.

до сих пор не понимаю причин, по которым слушаю подобные плейлисты, как и не понимаю, почему я пишу этот комментарий. наверное просто излить душу в куда-нибудь никуда. я так скучаю по старым временам. даже наверное не своим старым временам, а просто, когда всё было проще и лучше, когда не нужно было думать о своём будущем и вот об этом "а что же дальше" и "что меня ждет". по старым людям тоже скучаю, даже по старому себе, хоть и понимаю, что возможно сейчас я стал лучше, но "тогда" я не думал о том, лучше я или хуже, мне просто нравилось кто я и как я живу. а сейчас каждый день приходиться задумываться, какие на этот раз неприятности я могу доставить окружающим и как это предотвратить тяжело...

Даже не передать словами, что ты чувствуешь при прослушивании подобных песен...вроде и тревожно от осознания чего-то, а вроде и спокойно, ты можешь задуматься или забыть на время, вспомнить то, что не сможешь вернуть. Хочется что бы это чувство покоя было всегда с тобой, но чаще оно было в прошлом, а что делать сейчас...не знаешь или сам не хочешь что-то начинать делать, живёшь в том времени, которое уже увы, ушло давно. Слушать эту музыку одному тем более ночью, считаю идеально.

When I listen to this song and remember that I am the only savior of the family, I feel sad and devastated. We live a difficult life. There is no work. The school is far from the village. I go on a walk every day, and winter has arrived. I feel that my future is unknown and ambiguous.
