Finally, they were just humiliating themselves with the likes of Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax. When you have it all and reach a pinnacle you just can't go any further. Especially with thrash metal. I always knew that these bands wouldn't be able to keep it up into old age. I'm surprised they even made it through their 40's. Should be a good final tour though. I think even Kreator, Testament and Overkill will do maybe one more album (and tour)...then stop. Smart thing to do, imo.
Señor Romántico True, now that Tom broke his neck and can't headbang anymore, and they are turning a bit old, they can still Rock, but, it will not be the same Slayer as the one with Jeff and Lombardo
I will never forget being able to see you guys the night before I had to fly back to Iraq while on mid-tour leave in 2010. Sadly your dates don't line up with me being able to see you before I deploy over to Europe in May! I'm sure your shows will be utterly amazing though!
This was on the Horizon pretty much since the release of Repentless, if not since Jeff's passing. Tom has said in multiple interviews that he won't be able to do this for long anymore. Sad to see my favorite Band of all times go, will definietly go see them one more time when they com over Europe.

Christopher T. Agreed man! They have had an amazing run. Even after we lost Jeff and Dave left, they still wanted to make the fans happy. But they are ready to spend the rest of their time with family, they have earned it. For that, I thank them for all the amazing music and dedication to their fans

Time traveler I paid $55 for this upcoming SLAYER show and when black Sabbath did the end tour I paid $100 not to to bad at all haha it's just when scalpers decide to sell them for 4x the price

No! No, I will not believe this. I am PRAYING this is just for money. Slayer got me into metal. I remember when I was only 8 years old and my dad showed me raining blood. I had never even thought about music, and that gave me the most epic ever. SLAYER WILL NEVER DIE, FOR THEIR MUSIC IS IMMORTAL!!!

Believe me there are plenty of good up and coming bands just got to keep an eye out for a good gem. Personally I'm really enjoying Trivium and Gojira work. (Gojira especially is unique)
How I despise touching on political subjects, but being of hispanic blood I myself hold nothing against the confederate flag or image. It is what it is, and it bothers me none. To each their own, I'd rather live and let live, than worry about such trivial things. Sad that such a power house of the metal community is brought down by someone attempting to be virtuous as well intended as they may be. As for Trivium and Gojira, both amazing bands I've seen Trivium live several times and they're one of my favorites. But in terms of pushing the envelope in terms of lyrics and imagery, I can't think of any other band that comes even close to slayer, aside from Lamb of God. But I'd welcome suggestions.

Great band really helped me through depression when I was being bullied at school because when I’m angry, good Thrash Metal can really be the best medicine.
