Looking at where he stands, it feels like Costume Mario is M's bottom-of-the-barrel last resort to use on BF and GF, being a character that originally showed up in like one singular scene that didn't last that long and how his song sorta dissipates into nothing at the end, despite it sounding like it should've gone on for longer. As if M himself got tired of playing around at that exact moment.

Honestly, thanks to another comment from a "the end" video It's highly likely that costume mario knows what comes after his song, and he is possibly trying to stop bf and gf from suffering their tragic fate, and as a last warning, too stop continuing down the path of death. This is possibly why he threatens gf near the song. This is also why his song ends so abruptly, as if he just gave up on trying to convince them. I know it's a silly theory, but it's pretty nice and kinda adds more to the story of the mod

I can see Costume Mario being friends with other Haunted (hollow) Mascot suits like Photo-Negative Mickey, Golden Freddy & Robbie the Rabbit.

I'm pretty sure that people who say that the end is bad or forgettable don't even listen to the full song. Props to @Kenny_L for this underrated gem of a song

Fun fact: this is costume Mario and he did appear from Greenio’s series tape 4 But costume Mario is based of a murderer called Mike Robertson aka the Mario killer.

This mf vocal range is absurd, his voice is very deep, but somehow, he manages to sing this 1:12 and 2:04

Came back here because i tried so hard to enjoy iKenny's V2 but its just such a nothing burger compared to V1 imo. They really took away everything that made this song so unique and converted it into generic FNF upbeat remix.

i think costume is trying to warn bf that gf will die in all stars, therefore pointing his knife at her, but convincing someone "hey, your gf will die" is kinda hard when you have no mouth, and someone pointing a knife at your gf looks like he's gonna kill her

The worst part about this song is when it ends

This song would be so much better if it didn’t end abruptly, what iKenny should’ve done is add more to the ending for V2 instead of just remaking the whole damn thing, V2 doesn’t even fit the character anymore

This was such an interesting calm-before-the-storm song being in the middle of a great level like Abandoned and All Stars/Unbeatable, but the final 30 seconds of this level might be one of my personal favorite segments in the entire song

My interpretation of this song and its name is that:M actually wanted to keep playing maybe a few like extra 3 worlds but bfs persistence pissed him off so much he decided "Screw it all or he dies here or i will have to finish the job" the name the end instead of being for the end of the mod its the end of ms pacience and tolerance of bf and gfs crap

Am I the only one who feels that the song is super incomplete? At 1:50 they drop a new and exciting rhythm, but at 2:16 it cuts off completely and the song ends, not even 30 seconds. Maybe would be good with 3:02, a part that follows the accelerated part of minute 1:50 and in the last seconds slows down for the end

I love the "Wahoo". It's so out of context. Imagine fighting this murderous costume using Mario's appearence and suddenly the lights are off and you hear this sound, I can't help myself to imagine a gameplay of Mario speedrunning in monocromathic theme.

Inspired by many other comments: I think this song is called The End, because M doesn't have any other thing left in the overworld, so he uses Costume as a last resort, hence failing stops toying around with bf and goes to all-stars, where the whole song he was toying around with bf until being killed, this song is the end of bf and gf's path, this is where their story ends, after this song M gets tired of toying around with bf and decides to finish them off, Have you noticed how Promotion and Abandoned have longer times? progressively with the songs their time get longer, Unbeatable is 10 minutes, All-stars is 8 minutes, And abandoned is 4, But, Have you noticed how The End is just 2 minutes long? that means L kenny just did dislike the song so much he didnt want to finish it or, Since this is M's last resort, he gets tired after the 2nd minute and decides to end the song. and send gf and bf directly to their fate: their unevitable death. all the monsters in the overworld are M's playthings, this mean all throughout mario madness he was messing with bf's brain, he gets tired directly after Abandoned and decides to end bf.

I actually really liked this song a lot, the only problem was that it was COMPLETELY overshadowed by All-Stars and Unbeatable (Which to be fair isn't exactly hard) and lead to this song being kinda forgettable in the long run. Even then though, other songs like Paranoia, Last Course, Alone, Bad Day and No Party far outclass this one in my opinion, but I still think this one sounds good, and the visual change near the end of the song is really fucking cool. Props to IKenny for all the bangers this mod had to offer!

Tbh I’ve become OBSESSED with the end lately If you asked me, yes I think it’s an underrated song (same goes for all of classified castle tbh) If you had to ask me if v1 or the v2 are better, I think the end v1 is better in terms of its tone and intensity while v2 is better in terms of overall composition, and the added little chorus section in the inst which I love tbh, a bit too much In short? The end is underrated now that I’ve listened to it way too many times

Honestly I really like The End despite the devs thinking it wasn’t that hot. It’s basically the last wall of defense M has before he has to go all out (not like he didn’t want to but he figured Stanley and the others would deal with Bf) and it fits that tone perfectly being Fast but guttural with its vocals and Stark with its instrumental. A perfect Pre Finale before All Stars
