Mortal Kombat 1 was for the most part a good story that for me personally fell apart in the final act. I can see what they were going for with call backs to the deadly alliance and Armageddon but it just seemed a little too much a little too fast.
I enjoyed watching the characters fall into there usual roles as it was through different means.
It felt fresh and new yet nostalgic at the same time. Then act 4 just showed that this was not a fresh start it was just a direct carry on from 11 so should it be called mk1 not really MK12 would be more fitting as it faked starting a new fresh take on the game but then didn’t deliver on that.
Regardless the game itself is quite fun to play gameplay wise. I wish they would add A.I. Back to the game cause with invasions I find myself doing the same fights over and over. It’s fun the first few times then it just becomes a grind.
Overall I think mk11 was the better game but this game could still surprise me if done right.
Let’s hope Warner bros get the message. Let netherrealm do what they are good at.
