The End of an Era: Hattons and Warley 

I am, as I watch this waiting on my own last ever Hattons parcel arriving. Hit me in the feels right now.

I remember your comment being side lined on JK’s channel about their relationship with manufacturers and I agree, it’s definitely one major nail in the coffin of Hattons demise.

To be honest. I am sad to see Hattons go but I respect their reasons and I do thank them for 15 years of excellent service.

I have to shake my head sometimes, when people have their theories about what these things have happened and there is much more to these decisions than we will ever know. It’s clear Hattons could have changed their business going forward to make them more sustainable for the future. Clearly the owner has decided to bring an end while the going is good? I understand that the company was offered for sale but that didn’t happen, for whatever reason. I guess others have made enquiries to buy tooling, and we will find out more as time goes on! Sadly Warley has become a victim of the NEC cost thing! It’s a horrible place to get to for most, and the cost?! Well it’s all been said! I hope Warley put a show together, sometime soon, but at a different more friendly venue, as there are a lot of people who clearly want to go! It will be interesting to see how well the Key Model World show goes? Best of luck to all of them!
