The Blaze Maidens returned to Keter Sanctuary with Lianorn and Festoso Dragon and sought out Youthberk at Bastion's advice. During their meeting, the Blaze Maidens revealed that they had been to the door to Keter's White World Tree, and Festoso Dragon had sensed that something was eating away at it. They also referenced a prophecy that came from Oracle Think Tank that there was only one person who could open that door: Youthberk himself. Youthberk refused them at first. This is how we know Griphogila was draining Fate Power from Cray through its World Trees. I assume there's at least one in every nation, and it was probably draining them all. This Fate Power was what originally connected Cray and "Planet E" (that is, Earth) and made things like PSYQualia and the Stride Gate possible. What made things like that no longer possible were the death of Gyze and the disappearance of Messiah, hence the 3000-year-long era that brings us to present-day Cray. But now, all that Fate Power has likely flowed back into Cray, hence the glow. Perhaps PSYQualia is possible again now. And then there are the Glitters seeking the Fire Regalis. Nobody knows what the Fire Regalis really does, only that it's basically crystallized Fate Power. Perhaps these crystals are the remnants of the connection between worlds. Perhaps they're why some encounter cards are possible (some forces that reported to Geid actually fought with Blaster Dark or Phantom Blaster Dragon personally). We seem to have an English VA for Yuki Ichidoji now, so maybe the next anime will focus on Team Setsugetsuka, now that they include all the Glitter players?
Honestly this version of vanguard got me to love the game again and I love the characters who are very relatable. Like Tohya being burdened of having to choose a career or to follow your passion in S1 and w/ Urara not being able to enjoy things like before hits me right in the core. Would be more awesome if Urara became Tirnanog Youth's new leader
For me the one I relate to the most is toya cause I am also studying in the mesical college and was very strect to my self in high school to the poin were I will never go out our watch the animes or play the games I like in order to study and get exepted in college thankfully I got expected in the med college but now that I when I was studying almost in my secend year I just get so tired and stressed out to the point that sometimes I am unable to focus in my study anymore like I got a bad drop in my grades in that semester just because it was the first time I threw everything away to do the things I relly wanted to do but never did in order to study but after that semster but after that semster which is almost year and a half I can say that I have an average grades the first time I watched toyas eposide it kinda hurted me so much that I wished I could do what he did the time that I did it out of frustration but the results weren't the results you will happy about until now I am struggling to balance my study time and hobbies time so the same thing won't happen again sorry if that was along story it is just like one someone ask you about a thing you struggling from and you end up saying it because it is hurts you so much to remember it without saying it one I watched that I thought ro my self I am sure a lot of people well it is dramatic or exaggerated but it happend to me but sadly I can't choose to do the same hope no one suffer from the same thing cause sometimes the over working hard is what destroy you and your effort

I've Loved Vanguard since I found the anime and the game but the d-series and overdress has given me a different shape, a different view, just everything. I love every episode every season of overdress and of will dress. Yu-yu, Toya, Danji, and Michiru really hooked me as characters. And Nirvana became one of my favorite decks to play. The best part about the game and the anime is how you can fight so many different people see so many different variations of all the different decks and Nations. And how you never know what's happen with a single draw. It really made it feel like how the game is in real life. I wish the game was bigger in my area so I could have more fights outside my team. It would be a blast to fight other people even from around the world.
The community does feel small like that at times huh? Had to resort to online cardfighting like ol Samuel did, and tbh it's great for connecting with players!
@@godsman00 it definitely feels small like such a great TCG but gets overlooked by the bigger older ones and even these newer ones but that's okay Vanguard will always be my number 1. Even if Yu-yu story arc is over, next year we'll have a brand new protagonist, new story and most important new watchalong. I'm looking forward to it, thank you Godsman for your contents👍👍👍👍

Iirc, on Nirvana unit story, Trickstar is not someone/something from Cray itself. Trickstar born from nothing(void?) as an embodiement of hope. The "Hope" in this context is came from Blaze Maidens when they go on journey to protect the egg(Nirvana). Soo, my theory is YuYu as someone who using Nirvana and use Trickstar as his partner, Trickstar being materialize on earth because of YuYu as hope and only trickstar that can connected to both worlds. This is probably will become a plot point in the future. The one connecting two worlds is Trickstar. If you notice, in the entire Dress series until now, only YuYu that "Talk" to his unit, Trickstar. And this episode is just make me more excited about it. Also, Trickstar being YuYu's partner and not his avatar is something that im always liked about YuYu. Oh yeah, the behind of "The power of Idea" is still yet answer and mystery.
Really solid point about hope and Trickstar's relation to the overall narrative, we could see a sort of prolouge for Cray's next chapter here and the next seasons will get into the meat of it all. Can't wait to see it!
I actually really liked that Megumi took that part time job application, I just wish we got more of an explanation to each, I guess that'll be the main reason I'll read the epilogue Manga. I don't mind that she became leader she is my favorite character but I felt like Zakusa or well Shirofane understood Blackout to the fullest imo, so I think he mightve been better but he also isn't the leader type from what we see either so it's weird, but oh well it's time to move on anyways. Also ngl I think Megumi would swipe Mirei because of Magnolia Masques not caring about front row wipe if she uses the lepcor build, I personally find magnolia better than bavaargra and they already played each other once before back in WD Season 1.

Been considering it, copyright restrictions are a lot more heavy with OG vanguard though for some reason, some of my past content included scenes from them that got struck down so it'd be tough ngl.
It's been a great journey and I hope whatever comes next in the Vanguard anime's future really knocks us out! Oh, also, funny how when Tomari mentions new leader of Blackout you thought it was Urara when she was seen in the stands just a second earlier, and then when it comes to who the leader is facing you again thought Urara and she could be seen in the stands in the background behind Megumi 🤣 I'm guessing the next anime will be revealed on that presentation in what was it, December?
An AI misplay is surely not one to miss. If gui attacked both rear guards with his first two attacks, Yuyu wouldnt have survived all the attacks, and also even if he did survive, he has no X-Overdress rear guard to retire to draw the card he needs to superior call from the deck(to call he needs to discard from hand, his hand is effectively 0), thus unable to completely use stravarina's ability, meaning Gui's victory Second Misplay: Not playing Dragon Empire 😂
Really curious to see what's next but I do have some things to say with this aftermath. Megumi felt kinda weird, not just her becoming the new leader but showcasing her getting a new part time job. That was like representing her moving on and starting anew, but then her becoming leader kinda undermine that since she's just been desperate to prove herself and then she kinda got it. Maybe if we got an explanation behind it like how we got one for Yuyu in Dear Days it'll be better. If there was an alternative for a new leader for blackout, I think it would have to be Zakusa, I think he could've been a better choice. Especially when he got development. Also Masanori got some sort of notification but we never got an explanation on that, is this man scheming something again??
Match was alright, do wish we got more time for the epilogue but is what it is. Held off on seeing what Stravarina did until this episode (only getting spoiled on the marker destruction because that's what people put in their thumbnails) so the wait was fun as I saw the hubbub without the exact context. Michiru will wake up one day, but like Drajeweled in the lore that day may not be today. Perhaps when he has a less expensive voice actor or is in manga will he speak once more. Wish we got more of Tomari+Zakusa together but oh well,. Honestly Zakusa never felt like the type of person who would lead or draw people in rather sit off on the side and observe; Meanwhile Urara needs another year or two to season and maybe join a few more teams. Megumi feels like the proper next in line (Even if you don't like how her character was handled). (Also I'm rooting for Megumi as I love doing Sylvan Horned Beast customs vastly more than most things pertaining to Bavsargra) 21:24 For a team as Informal and casual in structure as Blackout a change in Leadership isn't that big of a deal, compared to say if this happened to Daybreak. Its a team that is contained to own little area unless provoked, so while the leader has some weight its not the thing holding everything down. And Tohya was the leader for a decent while (1-2 months at most) until he decided on the direction his heart pointed in and left the Darkness of Blackout. Also is the debris of the Dragontree drifting along in space going to be a permanent thing or are they gonna get that cleaned up? Guess I'll comment about what I thought of Will Dress as whole in a reply but can I say, I hope the next protagonist or one of the central characters uses Brandt Gate cause they got stuck with mantle of Jobber nation in my eyes over Will Dress and that just hurt sometimes.
I definitely believe Yuyu has been connected to cray and trickstar this whole time and when trickstar was watching him at the end of the match he was real.
I resonate with yuyu in a way. I love the overdress mechanic and have loved jheva since it came out even with most bashing it. But as for the overdress mechanic, look, im turning 34 this month. But trickstar is a little guy that's happy and when u see it it'slike hey whats he gonna do it's just trickstar, then he overdress and xoverdresses to show that he can do more than you think. And personally i feel that been me most of my life. People always seem to see me and say oh that just andrew whats he gonna do? Not to get too deep but thats what i like yuyu.
Ah I see, that is neat. Not many people think about Jheva as a wild card comeback deck, but imo it's exactly why it's the avatar of hope that saved Cray in the end!
So Trickstar is like the only card that interact with the charater, i guess it ties to the lore of trickstar or something. I love the dress anime. i never try vanguard before until the start of D era, Vairina is then first card that hook me in this game. Go though 5 ss of the anime, i grow with charater, i love every charater, every fight, yes it not perfect, far from perfect but i still deep in my heart. Yuyu is the charater i really relate, from a kid that cant even say no he grow as a respectable fighter and leader. I was a every shy cry too in the past, and also there Vairina which make me play vanguard
Yuyu's Journey Was Something Special Season 1 Overdress Was A Very Bumpy Start There Was Some Good Moments But It Just Felt Odd. Season 2 They Learned From The Criticism From The Community And Turned Things Around And Pretty Much Saved It Imo. Will Dress Was A Combination Of Both The Good And Bad Parts Of Overdress Imo I Liked That In The First Part In Will Dress We Got Urara As Like A Second Protagonist Second Part Was Michiru Trying To Achieve A Similar Goal As Kai Back In Og Vg And Gui Who Was Lead Astray By His Own Way Of Thinking And Forgot The Meaning Of Fun My Only Complaint Is That They Could Have Ended His Story With One More Cardfight With Danji But Other Than That Great Series😊👍.
And we're finally here at the end of one road, gearing up going to another. I'll try not to go too long cuz we'll be here for a day or 2 but here's the short versions of some my thoughts; Overall arc, I'll fully admit there's some highs and definitely some lows but like you said the highs just hits more I'd something ignore the lows. Comparing this to Overdress I'll rate this lower cuz while OD s1 was a trainwreck to put it nicely, OD s2 was peak and something that WD could've been if it weren't for their messy schedules and management behind the scenes. Yes, according to my friend group who's always follow the behind the scenes stuff around WD s2 A LOT of past staffs had move on to other projects or being in high demand. Which explains why the whole Uniformer arc has inconsistent in terms of pacing, writing and animation. Despite it's setbacks tho they still manage to deliver a really good ending which props to them for working with what they had. Final score, WD 8/10 while OD 9/10.
Fav character gotta be Tohya. I mean come on man. And I'm not just saying as a fellow paladin and knight enthusiast, but his story, struggles, growth and resolve is one of the best not only in Vanguard but arguably the entire TCG anime sphere. And it only helps that he's also just a nerdy card gaming goofball lol. I could go on for hours on why he's the best like i said i don't want this to be long essay lol.
Closing thoughts, I'm now less sad knowing this is not the end of the road for crew but more like a new chapter in their lives. And I've heard the sequel manga will be handled by the original creator of Vanguard so they're in very good hands. And speaking of the crew apparently Yuyu will not be featured in the manga. In the episode Yuyu said he's gonna go out there gaining some new Vanguard experience. So maybe he'll play the role of G Kamui next season who knows. Alrighty rambling done don't wanna go too long. Overall despite it's flaws i still enjoy Willdress. Very excited for the future if the last few scenes from the episode are anything to go by. And THANK YOU man for going along this journey. It's always joy to share the same interest and passion. And I hope to see you again at the December presentation cuz the Vanguard portion is gonna covered for an entire day so you know they're cooking something.
Loving all of what you had to say here, I always looked forward to your comments every week tbh! I'd mostly agree with the rankings, both are averaged out at 8.5 for me personally. I totally respect your Fav character being Toyha, he was SO amazing from start to finish man! Really hoping the next era of vanguard anime can live up to that. Wil dress was great imo i feel like yu yu is the most realistic protag at least to me compared to the others i like him the most he isn't my favorite character but close its a tie between him and michu but I thank you for these watchalongs there so much fun ❤
Sam, blackout members, daybreak leaders, greedon guy felt really sidelined. Serves more as plot devices Eg Sam feeding tohya info, greedon guy giving raika the VR thing. I didn’t even understand the point of megumi switching to uniformers other than it being a rematch w danji. Also the mirei and haruka fight could literally never happen and I don’t think it would detract from the plot. Overall I still like the series tho, just didn’t understand the importance of some eps
It felt like it ended far too soon, so much setup but a lot of it fell flat like ya explain. Maybe the next series expands on it if it's in the same continuity???
She never switched. She just trained under them to improve her skills. And she even almost beat Danji so clearly it worked. But despite training under them, she still doesn't agree with everything Uniformers stood for.
S01 is ok S02 the fight is good and real life game play WillS01 is ok but not game play in real life WillS02 the player has fun, and get is all in the turn WillS03 is ok
Ngl, while I did like the ending, it felt very…. Underwhelming imo. Like I remember after IF and G NEXT, I have a hard time NOT grinning from ear to ear, but here feels like I just kinda shrugged. Maybe cause I got soured hard with OD season 1 (worse than all of V imo), but I never really connected with any of the characters. There’s certainly characters I like, like Tohya and Michiru, but I don’t really relate to any of them. Then again I don’t think I’ll ever relate to anyone as much as Ibuki, so it could just be a case of I know who I relate to and anyone else would just be a copy of a character I already enjoy. That being said, it has been more fun to follow along with y’all, and I’m always gonna be here so long as Vanguard’s around
Same, vanguard's got a lot of pur undyling loyalty lol. Hella felt the ibuki bit, you do seem to shine with Messiah a bit. I personally enjoyed the ending more, they did well with what time they had left. Series ended far too soon there, there was a lot of wasted potential here. Still, it was a good ride, hopefully the next era leaves a better taste in you mouth!
@@godsman00 Honestly I have faith, since will+dress was a massive improvement on OD, it’s just imo you can’t improve much from OD lol. While I thought it was underwhelming, I still think the ending was serviceable. I am definitely looking forward to the future tho. And yes, Messiah was and always will be my main deck lol (just hope Bushi prints more support for D Messiah lol)
