There's been a lot of confusion on the specifics of the Ep30 plot, but this I believe is the clearest answer. The son of King Orange (aka Dark Orange, though that would imply some symbolism that isn't in any way implied by the story), his son (for the sake of this I'll refer to him as Dark Yellow) wasn't actually in the real Minecraft world. The "booth" he went in was a poorly coded simulation/copy of the real Minecraft world. When that simulation collapsed, everything was deleted, including Dark Yellow. There was no "saving" him, and King Orange knew that. He wanted to destroy the REAL Minecraft in an act of misguided revenge, but when he saw Purple being taken up into the Black Hole, he saw the similarities to what happened to his son, and he realized that he was doing the same thing to these stick figures and to all of Minecraft that was done to his son by the corrupted code. He became the very thing he swore to destroy. When he was in that strange mindspace, he saw this further, and then saw that Purple was without a father. He took on the role without hesitation, because he knew what it was to suffer.

In summary, King Orange's son was dead and gone, he wanted revenge, and he isn't in any way related to Purple.

So, to sum it up. King's son died from the glitch in Minecraft. King was mad and blamed Minecraft for his son's death. He then made the plan to destroy Minecraft for revenge. (Which is why the Minecraft logo was X'd out in his plan) Everyone realizing that what he was doing was wrong, tried to stop him. Though, when a man has nothing left to lose, he is quit dangerous. Eventually though, Purple made him see that he was just doing the same thing that happened to his son to everyone else. Purple also reminded him of his son.

Did you know that purple is actually a girl guys?just think of the petals and how green care for her cuz he likes her And the reason why king orange turn to blue is because purple thinks of him as his lost father.I suggest you play MINECRAFT so you can relate MORE than just like...WHAT?WHAT IS THAT THING?WHY?HOW?WHAT?😅 So basically if you knew the logic of the game you will see how alan becker just casually breaks the fourth wall of the logic

@@aliancabeldo2115 Considering Alan refers to Purple as "him" in his reactions with DJ, I'd say it's more likely Purple is a boy. Especially since Purple's father kept wanting him to learn how to fight which I don't think a father would want to teach his daughter, just saying. Plus it would make more sense in the story for Purple to be a boy to further parallel his relationship with King. Though you can think Purple is a girl if you want. I just see him more as a boy.

You see purple lost her father(dark blue) and king orange lost his son and this finale king orange sees purple as his son and purple sees king orange as her father(dark blue) and in the end they are NOT related to each other but they see themselves as a family again...
