No, it's "filler" that General Blue was pedophilic. It's an anime only scene. In the manga that doesn't exist. The English version of the anime is what changed that anime scene. Toriyama's version of the character isn't like that.

General Blue is gay in the manga so I'm guessing it's censorship. That kid wasn't in the manga though. He is filler. As far as I know Japan had the legal age of 13 for sex in the 80's. That's why he did that in the anime.

Red never used the trapped ceiling in the manga, he immediately spoke of getting taller, and was killed just as quickly. He never even spoke to Goku. Violet only had panel worth of appearance in the manga, and that was to report how good Bulma’s radar was.

I think it's a missed opportunity for the team. Imagine: Goku is defeated by the defensive fire. Krillin comes to his aid on foot (he's just trained for speed again). The rest of the team encounters an army patrol. Mute Roshis catches the bullets, but there's a woman among the soldiers. Launch takes care of her (because our fighters are holding back too much). Krillin fights against most of the troops and buys the unconscious Goku some time. Launch and Yamcha disguise themselves as soldiers (patrol uniforms). Our two shapeshifters could pretend to be black and red. The four of them infiltrate the base together. And then establish a connection to Bulma from there. With Bulma's knowledge they can deactivate the defense (hacking?). But this means they are discovered. Yamcha can show what he can do.Only Black can keep up with him. Outside, the army uses its strongest weapon. An oversized, almost indestructible robot that is independent of the base's system. This robot defeats Krillin. Muten Roshi (who stayed with Bulma) manages to destroy the robot with his MAX Power Kamehameha. Things are looking bad for Yamcha in the base. Launch has held off the last soldiers with continuous fire, but Black has still managed to get into his battle suit. Then Goku breaks through the wall and takes out Black.

Commandar red wish is genuine for his characters not like bulma or oolong. He is short guy, who must have been laughed or bullied for his height. So increasing his height is genuine wish.

There's a crucial detail you got wrong about Blue: In the *manga* Blue was only implied to be *gay* , that's it! But the *anime* writers decided to make a joke about him being, well, you know. So like, in the manga, there's nothing wrong with him in that sense. (You know besides being a member of the Red Ribbon Army :^v)

In the manga General Blue was only stated to be gay. None of the kid stuff happened, the anime added that.

The manga doesn't actually have the scene between General Blue and the Penguin Village boy, most of General Blue interacted with the 'Superman' sour-man alien character, but that was about it. Other interactions were filler material, one of the more seamless and successful insertions. So, the General's bad thoughts occur in the anime, but are dubbed over in English versions. It's not even completely certain if General Blue is gay, he could have just been disgusted by Bulma being a dirty girl, but the subtext of the characters make him being gay very likely. Krillin even said the he 'didn't know that there were gay bad guys'. There's nothing wrong with liking General Blue as a villain, just remember--he's a villain who is highly partial to killing, even his own soldiers. General Blue was a very tough, paranormal soldier who was an opponent Goku failed to beat by himself. That Tao Pai-Pai killed him so easily was meant to inspire fear, and it certainly did. If General Blue was beyond normal, Tao Pai=Pai was even more so. Still, as a villainous asset, his murder was quite a waste, but General Blue happily killed his own subordinates for failure, or not having good hygiene! General Blue's manga description is 'Very cruel, but likes things neat and tidy!' General Blue's army was referred to in a title page as "The Blue Meanies" from the Beatles' "Yellow Submarine", appropriate for all the underwater adventures. Blue Meanies is also a name for a psychoactive mushroom, which is probably why the name was used in the psychedelic "Yellow Submarine".

So your reaction is appropriate given the anime context, in the anime he is not a pedo, he thought it was his long lost brother and was trying to kiss him on the cheek/forehead, there was no lust in his eyes, so idk why so many people misunderstand the situation.

General Blue would be a top pick for the Mr. Beast Team.

The crushing ceiling--I loved you said YOUR office didn't have THAT. And then you stare upward! Commander Red's Napoleonic complex and subsequent demise was great. The anime had a LOT more pathos between Adjutant Black and Commander Red; in the manga, Black shoots Red almost immediately upon learning of Red's wish just over his disgust over the wish to be taller. Commander Red's selfish wish is called back to much later with similar but even--smaller--wishes! But THAT would be telling.

The thing with General Blue is the opposite. The anime made him a pedophile, not the manga. In the manga, there is none of that dirty stuff with the boy from the Penguim Village. In fact, that boy doesn't even appear in that story arc.

You misunderstood the comments. General Blue wasn't a pedo in the manga because that scene from the anime was filler which was censored in the English dub. But Roshi though is, because Bulma is 16 at the start of Dragon Ball.

To be fair you're reacting to the English sub of db. In which blue is not depicted as the problematic person. Based on this version of blue there's nothing really wrong with enjoying the character as he exists. He's pretty funny and overly fussy, prissy almost, about his appearance. A fairly unique character.

I didn't know that General Blue was a P either. The German version I saw is one of the most censored versions. As a character, I liked him too. I still like the German version of him, in which he isn't a P, and I don't blame anyone who likes him. In your version he also wasn't a P. So just forget it.
