Couldn't beat the game with corvette/viper/murcielago/Carrera on PS2 when I was about 11, got it recently on PC and beat Darius first try with the R34 lol

Theo you can make it faster by the tuning option. Set the turbo to high rpm Nos to pressure Engine to top speed

It took me weeks upon weeks to beat this final race. I could make it to the canyon but I couldn't get ahead. I finally beat it in my grandparents RV on a trip to the mountains. Best feeling ever. You had to get ahead of Darius at the first corner of the canyon to win.

Word of advice re: tuning vehicles in Carbon, Herr Pantz: Each car class have respective strengths and weaknesses. In the case of exotics like ze Murcie, they have better top speeds, at the expense of acceleration. What ya should have done here would be to tweak the middling stat to your advantage (in this case the handling stats like suspension, brakes and tires) I should know; already finished Carbon at least 5 times, one of them was a 5-hour rush run.

My car of choice for beating Darius and it worked on my first try is the EVO. Buy everything, tune engine to 1/2 towards horsepower, full acceleration, tired stay the same (grip actually makes the car worse), and turbo to 1/2 high rpm. OP strat

That's woke that he struggled so much with the murci, I used the Tier 1 Camaro SS and didn't struggle nearly as much, you need to tune to cars with the adjustments in game to really get every bit out of them, can make a Tier 1 car a Tier 3 dominator.

Im gonna do this serious for the first time in my life ever. I only ever remember playing Carbon on the GameCube when I was like 8 or 9 years old. I really never tried playing it to complete the story, i was really trying to play Underground 1 because I lost the tiny GameCube disc. I do remember trying really serious on Hot Pursuit 2. I got yelled at from getting angry with my squeaker voice, now thats a meme. I'm gonna play it on the PCSX2 emulator since I dont wanna try to find this somewhere online.

Any other car in carbon turn like that; a murcielago, probably not.

To take the last corner and keep speed the way Darius did is to have manual transmission on and full throttle while downshifting twice to force the car to brake and multiply grip in front tires. Its a technique I learned while going on a crazy hardcore run of NFS Carbon where I didn't buy anything to earn the $1,000,000 reward card. I had to learn this skill with Wolf's Aston Martin(stock) as I have said before I didnt spend money on anything. Leave a like if you have tried this technique it saves a lot of time in races and especially canyon duels!!!

The only way I could ever beat Darius in NFS Carbon was with the Corvette Z06. The acceleration curve was so OP in the canyon race.

Theres an exploit in the canyon run with darius If you use a muscle car (especially the maxed out corvette) you can overtake him in the first turn of the canyon This happens because the muscle cars have a stupid amount of acceleration and sometimes their handling is very good in tight corners

I used a Subaru which only had a maxed out engine and turbo to beat Darius and that was when I was broke in the game lol
