This same streamer/creator has killed people just passing by. No one praised him then. And no, he was not on a hunt contract. He just felt like doing it. Which is one of the main/first reasons this game died. Too many players hunted others for nothing. Just for fun. It may have been fun for the player doing the killing but not to the player simply trying to do a contract. Which is the point of the mode, contracts.

I've noticed if you kill a squad that put a hunt contract on you, you still can get marked for another hunt squad for defending against the 1st team.

@@reaperblaster8291 I mean it really makes up for a cycle, best example could be Ashika being so small with so few squads if even a hunt contract didn’t make up for another one to continue a pvp “cycle” the contracts wouldn’t make for the best gameplay loop

I miss those days. I think what made dmz so special is that you could play the mode however you wanted, and the interaction with other people reminded me of the old cod games. I have met more people in the last two years playing dmz than i have since bo3. Really do hope they revive this mode.

DMZ is dead, it aint ever coming back. Too many complained about it. Everyone thought the mode was great in the beginning. But that turned quickly after a few months.

Im still playing DMZ, doing missions is a lot harder than it used to be as now it is just hunt parties. EU servers have always been tough but im still going through the crown missions as i recently bought mw2. 100% complete on other factions. God i wish COD make another DMZ

They wont. They moved on from it. Was just a test mode for other game modes to come like what they did with Zombies. They got the data they needed and said deuces. It's over. The hunting down players for fun is what started the downfall. Ended up killing the game. Ruined player experience. Once that is gone, mode was done.

Scuba, TAV and stay near water. Learn where the hidden tunnels are under hydro for that 1 in 10 chance you're near there when a hunt hits you, and try to keep cash under $30k. I'm at about 240 into the 300 missions passive, so I have been hitting it hard trying to finish. One day I get away all the time, and then the next day I get relaxed, make mistakes, and keep getting killed. I have yet to have anyone figure out where I'm hiding when I hit the tunnels under hydro (they lead to the river that goes through it).

I remember a day, that almost seems like yesterday. It was a hot summer day. When I opened up youtube to see a video titled "beating every dmz boss in one game". I clicked on that video not even imagining how big of an adventure it would lead me on. The guy was so calm compared to other cod players, and not toxic at all. He seemed to be just starting like me. That video left me amazed, as at the time I struggled to find let anyone beat a boss. So I subscribed. For the rest of the summer I would watch this unique content creator play a game I loved so much. Before I knew it he wasn't so small any more. Hitting 100k subs on stream while chat went crazy. Soon after I managed to get into one of your customs and even had the pleasure of watching my teammate execute you 😂. Well it shure has been good and I thank you for the excellent content you have given to the ever dwindling dmz community. I wish you the best and hope they bring back dmz. PS: I still think you should have revived blue.

I think the biggest problem is the lack of resources going into the server stability. I have been disconnected from the server like 10 times recently trying to do the Serpentine Camo run. It's frustrating that the game is killing me and not other players

The worst part about the underbarrel glitch is that it is patched out of MW3 since its running on the same engine and (probably) reuses a bunch of code. Im pretty sure it cant be that hard to implement the fix in mw3 into mw2 retroactively

That was awesome helping that guy, I did the Serpentine and it was probably one of the hardest things in the game honestly! I tried to help a friend after the Halloween event and it was glitched and you couldn't trade somethings at the buystation and it didn't work anymore. Did they fix that? Damn I miss DMZ! Me and my squad got serpentine when it first released and we had to basically do it three times at once so all of us got it at the same time. But we did it on the first go no deaths or restarts and to get the dog tags we basically spawned in each with a 10 exfil operator and then we switched teams and killed each other to pick up each others tags and then exfil together. We dead played like 20+ games in and out of maps without dying best camo grind ever.

Grateful to you, Phixate and others on RU-vid for keeping DMZ alive. I gave up months ago on the mode as it became too much for me personally, out of all the modes CoD has come out with DMZ had and still has so much promise. Such a shame after putting so much into it that Activision drops it like a stone into a deep ocean. Much respect to you Sir.

It was dropped a long time ago. This isnt news now. Mode has been DEAD for a minute. Its not coming to MW3 or BO6. Its over. It was just a beta mode; they collected the data they needed and moved on. Some DMZ elements will live on in new modes like what they did in Zombies.

People abusing glitches and hacking will happen anywhere, they should fix it but they’re not gonna and the fact you can’t even do missions that involve cooperating with other teams is pathetic… I’m not here to just play warzone, I want to do missions. Kill squads ruin the mode

Anymore, thats what killed the game to begin with. It became a huge problem after the first few months. Players killing other players just for fun. Ruining player experience. DMZ was killed off long ago. Sure, you can still play it but only on one game, not coming to any new games and no new content.

@@texasrattler1325 true but I was meaning that’s the real reason it was killed off, it became a major problem around season 4-5 of MW2. Said because I enjoy DMZ and didn’t mind the OCCASIONAL pvp fight but not constant pvp fights with people “just doing it for fun” like mf no you’re not, there’s missions and ai for a reason. Hopefully they can learn from this but I doubt it
