After getting Abu Ratu Roti 10 days ago, we have managed to explore the most beautiful parts of Sri Lanka. Our little Tuk-tuk actually started to become a little part of The Buddymoon. But unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and we have to say goodbye to our Abu Ratu Roti.
Sri Lanka was part of many crazy adventures and massive milestones during our RU-vid journey and one that we will never forget. We hope to be back in Sri Lanka one day again and rent Abu Ratu Roti from tuktukrental.com. It was honestly one of the best things we have done during our travels and we would highly recommend adding this to your bucket list.

Fantastic video. Ambalamas were places where ,in ancient times,travellers used to stop. The locals used to leave food for them to use. Free of charge obviously.

Hello BUDDYMOONERS. Many thanks for the excellent travelogues which I thoroughly enjoyed. Interesting to note that you travelled to Ceylon or Sri Lanka as it is now known. My father was posted to Ceylon in 1954, when Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth first visited the island on 10 April 1954. At that time, the ship she travelled on was the M/V "Gothic", a Shaw Saville Liner, which was immediately prior to the RY Britannia. Britannia collided with a cargo ship in Colombo Harbour and dad who was a Senior Marine Engineer, was flown out to Ceylon to supervise the repairs. Dad was subsequently offered a position as a Chief Engineer in Colombo by Lloyds of London and soon thereafter, my mother, myself, my brother and younger sister went out to Ceylon. The initial contract was for 2 years but the position was extended several times until we eventually left Ceylon in April 1961 for the UK, and that same year we emigrated to Australia. The island has changed so much since we were last there. Your journey made me relive my younger years, for which I thanks you kindly. Now all I have to do is to try and piece together you travelogue so that I watcheverything in sequence. I noted that you were in Pakistan and had some trouble there but I cannot seem to find that post. Take care chaps. Kindest Regards
