Just to clarify, loot rules were same as last BFD SodCore. Main tank prio + loot distribution to who needed it the most based on the upgrade. Everyone was good on the loot 👍👍
It makes no sense to give all gear to tank. The only raid killer boss in that instance is Kelris and Tank doesn't need more than stamina there. You can be even naked and afk and still tank the boss if you are the closest player to him. The boss don't do melee attacks, only mindblasts to the nearest person. Only thing you had to do was being the closest person to him and get out when dark portals were about to come, boss teleports the 2 closest players to the shadow realm. So basically your function as tank there is being the closest one to the boss, interrupt shadowly chains and call for 2 melee to replace your position when shadow phase is about to come so you don't go down, they will get the mindblast in that period so call heals to be aware of that. For me it makes more sense to give all the good gear to DPS and only give the gear with stamina to the tank. I mean I liked the content and all the effort you made on this, even leveling up 3 professions, but dude, Kelris was super bad executed it was painful to watch
@@taze7 Agreed there were a handful of mistakes. Having said that, we almost 8 manned Kelris in no quest loot green gear. If the 2 dps didn't die in P1 from portal not popping, it would have been a pretty easy 0 death kill 👍
I agree with you, but even with the loot distributed poorly they could have cleared the raid if they had simply done the boss mechanics. Not kicking, standing on purple and tank not getting the mindblasts are mistakes you cant make @@lucas.br17
1. No one was kicking chains... 2. The void walker looking mobs face the portal. You use those to find the portal quickly. 3. As the tank, Xar should've been the closest to the boss in the final phase to tank the mind blast. The boss focuses the closest target. Love you Xar
Warrior and rogue were stuck in the other dimension and died there cause they got no portal. Edit: Xaryu should have kicked chains only and not the mind blasts
@@MonkeyDyDragon They got stuck because they are bad. The warrior and rogue should've seen where the void walker looking mobs were looking and killed that elf. They would've found the portal instantly.
Dont forget standing too close to the boss, the cat was tanking a few mind blasts but xaryu couldnt stand still at max range. Hunter pets are disposable for mind blast, 'hc' players arent. For 2. I heard the void walker thing but never tried it, people posted some other things on this boss that were upvoted on reddit and proved to be bs so I guess I should try the vw just to see.
Honestly I think we can start to see the direct effects of obsessing too much over min maxing and buffs and theory crafting but failing to "not stand in the fire" in the playerbase.
@@AisaMoreira-u2vThat's why they min/max so hard. Something as basic as "dont stand in the fire" is too difficult for the majority of the Classic player base which is why they play Classic AND min/max it to death. The quicker bosses die the less they have to worry about those pesky "mechanics"
38:43 They would have made it if the dps wasnt standing in the purple shit, and xaryu calling out dispells on things that cant be dispelled. Xar really dropped the ball on kicks too.
Taurens have bigger hitboxes so you get hit by the bubbles from really far away on the turtle boss. Since you can't deal damage in phase 1 you could just have all the melee dps use ranged weapons to make sure no one gets hit in phase 1.
@@lucas.br17 I agree. If the pumper hunter had the helmet, maybe he wouldnt have stood in the purple that was chunking him, and they would have been able kill the remaining 14% life the boss had.
Xar for ur next run keep in mind inp2 the mindblast he casts only go on the nearest target. U want to spread that damage between meeles. So as ur druid buddy falls low u need to move in to soak the next mindblast. Its very easy once u know this. Who ever is closest gets hit. U can use that. Cheers . Great content :)
@Xaryu Sorry you didn't make it this time, hopefully you go again. Little tip that might help if you go Shaman MT again on another attempt: There is very little reason not to go dual-wield Shamtank ON KELRIS because the vast majority of damage you take is magical. Dual rockbiter is a good dps boost on the tank's end. I saw two earthshocks on bar, but just incase they were duplicates: Create a max rank ES macro, and a rank 1 macro. That way even with low mana, you can always use rank 1 to land kicks on chains. Good luck next time
All bad on Kelris, you as tank need to stay on top of the boss, Mind Blast is casted at the closer player to boss. The group didn't set an order to Shadow Realm (it teleports the 2 closer players to the boss on the cast). 2 guys spent 20 secs on shadow realm probably by not going together killing adds, even died there. In Phase 2 you stood far away from the boss and took 0 dmg from the Mind Blast, the cat kept taking dmg from that and died. Hunter died literally from standing on the purple and casters were stacked getting multiple chains debuffs making healers oom from dispelling the chains. I get the idea of Hardcore with less gear etc etc, but this was so badly played it is painful to watch
I dunno mate but there were a lot of mistakes. They knew in advance the only raid killer is Kelris and they went like the only thing they know was that they have to interrupt chains, be spread on range, kill adds on shadow realm and use a fap in p2. I'm totally sure they didn't know how the mindblast works cause Xar was always super far from boss or how the boss chooses the players going into the realm cause they didn't set a shadow portal order and Xar was surprised when he got down and probably blame the RNG. I liked the content and all the preparation, but dying there not for gear but for missknowledge is insanely painful to watch@@trysephiroth007

100%. Kicking Mind Blast instead of chains and ninja looting other people's BIS gear for a few hit points. He was getting out dpsd by the priest most of the time and barely holding aggro. I'd be so embarrassed if I were him but he's a delusional megalomaniac, so they'll just blame the "bug".

Knowing it was your first time tanking i would have expected that you didnt greeded on every item and share the loot properly with the raid, that 6 stam and 50 armor didnt change a thing for you, but 24 ap + 6 agi on a hunter]/druid that rely on AA would probably get Kelris down bf DTD, also not kicking chains was painful to watch.

You lead the group to a wipe there by not really understanding the fight, you had earth shock on cd every single time chains was up (same CD as kick which rogue and should solo comfortably with you and mage as backup when hes in different realm, and kept telling the rogue to "get that one" on mind blast then both of you had interupt cd on chains
In the future especially with Hardcore community events you should really try to learn the fights a little bit more prior to leading a group - it was pretty evident you didnt' know how to tank some of the bosses, especially kelris - you got a lot of smart ppl in the community, reach out and ask before you go in you know?

MT doesn't need to be geared to the teeth because none of the fights are difficult. You should want your DPS to be geared as much as possible.

If that ain't ninja idk what is, 6extra spirit is a lot in long fights with a healer like the one you wiped on 6, 6 agi + 24power on the druid might be that extra few percent in that last fight. Giving everything to main everything for stamina in a run were people are under geared and you have runes to make you extra HP as a tank don't make a ton of sense to me. Seems like he was nervous but come on don't ninja and say oh I'm maing tank it's mine.
The way they farm rep in HC is to tag a boss in Ashenvale when it spawns and then HS to splintertree and wait for the event to be over. 600 rep each time.
Hey Xar, Hef here. I understand that the people you play with don’t mind you ninja looting but as a viewer it makes me question why I watch your content. You may not feel the effects of your actions yet but I see more and more people in the comments each day that share my point of view.
@@kuiviaDidnt mentioned any numbers as you can see, but tank hps/dps is never any problem at 25. You can have a cat tank if you want for all it matters. Problem is always the lack of rdps (and surv om dps) with undergeared chars in vanilla. That helm is the highest dps increase item in there apart from wpns. There isnt any reason at all to give it to the tank. End of the day is that bad players are still bad, but for example that druid could have survived longer and if he didnt oom himself and actually dpsed they could have made it without the war/rogue. No wf for rogue, not knowing the mechanics etc etc are ofc bigger problems.
People need to calm their fannies about the fake "ninja loot" calls. It just so happened that a lot of the loot was tank loot, so it went to the tank. Simple. Usually Xar is too generous with loot, passing on everything.
Deserved ending. I was just skipping to the end of bosses to see the excuses he'd find to get loot lol I'm not sure why people subject themselves to this . Xar's content is getting more and more....meh :)
I've never gotten the opportunity to play wow like this. This is SERIOUS. I never got the chance to hit max before the next expansion. That's why I watch these vids. You, old asmon, mitch. Few other real raid vids. It's freaking awesome. I know sod ain't near to that level but the intense midmax at 25 has made me feel like I had that sick ass end game classic raid experience
1. Almost dying on turtle boss 2. Ninja looting cowl which was far better on someone else. Godly dps helmet for a rogue/hunter because they didnt even have a helmet. 3. Not killing lightning totem fast asap. 4. Not kicking chains. Have you guys even read about this raid at all? It was a complete shtshow. It looked very amateurish. You 'hardcore' raiders didnt even know to kick chains, just focus on that one instead of mind blast rofl. 'Mage you have the kicks' bruh, counterspell is 30 sec. He aint kicking much and you of all people should know this.
I love when you die you sat there and questioned your group as if it were they're fault the portal bugged, In all realty you kicked no shadowy chains with a 7 sec cd kick not to mention shadowy chains happens every 9-10 seconds so in theory you're suppose to kick every shadowy chains unless you get sent below. Should’ve given the helmet to the Druid, it was just a few stam for Xar, which seeing the fight and that he actually only got low when half the group was dead, didn’t help Xar the slightest. But for the Druid it could have ment staying alive just a bit longer, which in turn would have increased overall dps considerably due to wild strikes buff being active longer. Not to mention that the Druid’s dps to would have been higher with the extra crit from the agi on it. The other loot like then neck, sure, with the armor it’s best for the tank, but saying MT comes first is just retarded. What good is a tank if the dps don’t get the gear to push them further?
@@sbsftw4232 well, I lead my guild by example and not to get priority on loot. With pugs in raid everything gets rolled (greens are raid rolled), with full guild run it’s loot council. We want the whole raid to be able to gear up evenly and not just who gets lucky on rolls. Having been in several hardcore raiding guilds on Silvermoon Eu when I still played retailed (the last 2 ranking nr3 and nr2 on the server back then), officer in most, I know how important it is to have the guild progress as a whole and just not the MT. There’s no I in team
@@MrLapin85 to be fair, the hunters and the rogue were already topping the meters, it would have been the best upgrade for the Druid, considering his wild strikes buff pushing the raid as a whole. The longer the Druid stays alive, the more dps overall, you need to look at the bigger picture if you want to progress. But the fact that the first 2 to be in the shadow realm got unlucky with the portal really fucked it up anyway. As soon they died it was already clear it was going to be a wipe

End of the day, bad play/tactics killed them. Gear could have helped some of it.

You were so clueless that I think it is kinda disrespectful to someone joining this run, hoping to get BFD on hardcore cleared. Like if I were in this run and would lose my hardcore character like this I would be mad as fuck. You and a few others didnt have a clue what was going. Your raid obviously was missing a RL that actually knew how to play this dungeon. As I said .. kinda painful to watch. Next time ppl rely on you with the life of their hardcore characters I would appreciate if you actually knew what you are doing (no matter if no one else or everyone else in the raid is clueless as well).

I see a lot of negative comments here. I heard him say he was never tanking any raid before. So everybody in the raid knew the risks and conditions. Thats it. He fcked up kicks, others fckd up portals etc.. doesnt rlly matter as long as they had fun. I enjoyed it pretty much tho.
