Imagine a scene in the next zombies where a dark aether portal is opened and out steps JFK, Castro, Nixon, and Mac. It'd be so ridiculous for an alternate timeline JFK to just show up, let alone the others.

Beside Shangri-La, Five was the hardest map in Black Op 1 zombies. I always liked playing as Fidel Castro in five since he says something funny to zombies in Spanish. All these historical leaders are so iconic in five and that was awesome to play for.

You noticed how JFK reacted to the zombies like he expected they were gonna show up?

Nixon was last vice president in 1961. Five takes place during 1963. Nixon at that time was a presidential candidate. Hence why Castro remarks about Nixon in the opening cutscene, "And why is he here? He LOST!". He is alluding to Nixon's loss to JFK in the 1960 U.S. Presidential election.

My head-canon of what happened after the broken FIVE: Jfk, Nixon, Fidel, And Macnamera all survive and end up fighting zombies in the background whenever our player is around, they fight near us but they leave right before we get there.

man everything about black ops 1 was just perfect ranging from the dlcs to the free maps even the voice actors were a massive talent i love this game

An issue I have with cod zombies these days is everything has to be ‘connected’ or has to mean something. In my mind FIVE was just a really cool, novelty map with awesome, real life characters. Nothing more nothing less

It all makes sense now, all those Easter eggs were the lore to Aether, and that’s also why there was a Pentagon Thief. It was also why there’s a secret person calling for them in Ascension, trying to free him.

I do want to know is where can these animated cutscenes can be found. Because I like how they explain the story by just using images as context, that and well I usually see people who make Cod lore videos use them frequently. Just like how Gursh was trapped in the Gurdh device and Yuri sent to the Pentagon to release the zombies.

Minor correction: Richard Nixon was only a FORMER Vice president at the time 5 must take place. He’s present in the room because he was JFK’s opponent in the 1960 election. Hence Castro’s confusion regarding his presence. And Kennedy’s “Forgive your enemies, but remember their name.” Line.

One thing I don’t get is, by BO3, Sam became good from the events after the cannon Buried Easter egg. So why is she still evil in the BO4 Primis/Ultimus storyline? Is it just past versions of Samantha? Or does she become bad from time to time? Im leaning towards the latter of my decisions since I thought if you were in control of the dark aether, you were in every possible universe at once.
