Great reaction, thanks! No one, absolutely no one was expecting a sax solo (except for the composers and Koba... 😁). I can't keep the second verse out of my mind, the way Su sings it and its meaning. Ending with: "...our dreams from those days remains unchanged even now". And yes, this is the perfect album closer. 🤘🦊
I love the part from the start of the guitar "solo" to the end. And for some reason, "We are the Legend" gets to me. I can see this being played as the final song of a show, I'd love that. It certainly would leave me standing their motionless for a while with a tear in my eye.
Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 A perfect track to finish this album, this is a clear statement and reminder they're _living legends_ now, and we don't need to be afraid of this as an end, let's be grateful coz a new beginning is about to come. Love this track and that out of nowhere sax touch gives this a more intimate feeling, they performed this at Makuhari Messe 2023 as an ender, and during Black Night at PIA Arena MM as an opener, perhaps another metaphor for this song, unfortunately no kami sax played that section. They recently announced Metalverse will be opening at Summer Sonic Festival next month and also released a short clip with a new track playing in the background, perhaps a new intro or song? OTFGK. If you wanna know more about this metalverse then i suggest you to check it out: - Doki Doki Morning live at Makuhari Messe 2023, and - Karate live at PIA Arena MM 2023, both clips in the same place. Sounds great idea to hear the live version of these songs, this one as well Believing you can find it at NLMetal and Monochrome at Reactor Resource (BMRR). Thanks for sharing this. Kitsune up and see you next time.🦊🤘🎷
This song kind of reminds me of "The One - Stairway to Living Legend" where they say goodbye to one era and begin the journey into the next era of Babymetal
This song marks the complete end of BABYMETAL's 10-year METAL RESISTANCE period, which has been spent by the three members including YUI.😢 It was performed only twice in the live by only two members, SU and MOA.😭 It is said that if this song is performed in the future, it may mean the end of the current BABYMETAL, and it is a song that fans do not want to hear live as much as possible.🥹
Loved the saxophone solo Trust BabyMetal to give you something you did not know needed 😁 live this song is something special It was memerisering .Time Wave live is great as well . I think you will change your mind when you see the live version . 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
It's a quiet last number to soothe my ears after a long day of listening to the latest heavy album.. The saxophone is certainly a surprise, ha. I have no complaints about the English translations of the lyrics in the video, but one thing, at 3:08, the Japanese often omit the subjects (There is no subject in the Japanese lyrics here either) but in poetry it can be imaginative. So I guess that the subject here might be 'we'. In other words, the song is about the 'three' at that time, and it means that it will not change in the future... It makes me cry. Thank you from Japan.
I would have to agree with both of you actually. Both this song and Light and Darkness are my favorite. I love in Light and Darkness where they let Su kinda show off her abilities more than any other song on this album. Only other songs I can think of that really let her shine this much is Shine, Megitsune, and From Dusk Till Dawn I think.
It's the first time I feel transported to an isolated place out in the aether where Su is singing directly to me. They've had very emotional songs before and songs where the message resonates with me on a personal level, but I've never experienced this direct connection before, not to this degree. I think it's great that Su got this opportunity where the music takes a step back and creates an ambience for her to sing in. A very unique song for Babymetal. 👍Su excels at pronouncing words clearly, it sounds wonderful. "Touku, touku, doko made mo. Touku, touku, tsuzuku tabiji de aruki hajimeta yume. Zutto naite, zutto waratteta. Anogoro no yume wa kawaranai imademo" 🎶
I so love that Smooth Jazz middle section. And tick off another genre box on the list. Yes, even with a sax solo. Su-’s chill vocals are fantastic ("toku toku....") 😍. I spent the late nineties and most of the naughties listening to Smooth Jazz until Arbitron changed the ratings system and effectively killed it as a radio format. (Dear, Su-metal. Please try some Sade covers.) The Legend is close to my favorite on the album, just on the strength of its center section. The chorus is pretty good, but I find the lead-in bit a little too cliché or something. And as Septa and Soare were saying the final line is the payoff for the album as a whole. I have heard some of the live version. Super promising. In my mind, it might be worth the cost of the Blu-ray.
When I first heard Legend, it reminded me a lot of a group called Enigma.... Its very chill but they'd put some twist in the middle and then go back to chill....🤘🦊🤘
Excelente reacción para una canción perfecta. El saxo le indica al mundo que los estándares se rompen con agradables sorpresas. Amor por esta banda universal.
The world premiere performance of this song to close the show at Makuhari in January was pretty incredible. Su and Moa started at opposite ends of the arena and made their way to the center platform, where they danced facing each other. It very much felt like a reaffirmation of their bond with each other and the fans. It was like they were saying, "We're back and we're stronger than ever."
SAXMETAL BEST METAL. The choreo to this is gorgeous, its Su and Moa together, getting ready to move into the next life of BABYMETAL. Their final performance as a duo. Its tearjerking to some because this is a song of finale for an era. After this, the new BABYMETAL with Momo as a full member takes the stage in the new outfit and we are off to the METALVERSE. Pia Black Night and Clear night were a huge turning of a corner or page. This song encompasses the energy.
This song was performed in Makuhari and Yokohama this year. It is thought that there is a meaning of farewell to the past Babymetal that Yuimetal participated in. They became legends. I think so because this song was played only by Su-metal and Moametal. And Su-metal and Moametal do the finger shape for the Y in American Sign Language in the song. Momometal also appeared from the subsequent songs. It has never been played since. Because the transformation to the new Babymetal is complete. We Yuimetal fans always think of her as a legend. From Japan, thank you.
👍 👍 Great reaction and well done guys on your journey through The Other One. You should do some reactions to Chibi Metal performing Doki Doki Morning and Karate side by side with BabyMetal on two opposing stages (I believe during their January concert at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo). Chibi Metal did an amazing job and the performances were really spectacular. Until next time.
Guys, what a great job on doing the album. Just fantastic. I reckon you are going to go into a slow burn on Time wave. If I am to be honest, on first listen, my three least favorite songs on the album were, in order from worst to better were: Time Wave, The Legend and Light and Darkness. However, after a few listens, I am fully on board with every track on this album. I am more a lyric guy and the complexity of Timewave is really clever, it's mathematical shaping (the twisting Mobius Strip) being used to describe the endless ups, downs, round and rounds. You never know where it's going to end. To shift a little, what has happened to the third member: Dallas, Dozer, Destructor ... lol, I cannt remember his name. The guy who screamed for you? I hope he is well. Anyway, keep the good stuff coming.
This is a far better album than the last thing they pooped out into a world where no one asked for a series of collaborations with nobodies. 😉 This may actually be their best album to date tbh. It's listenable from start to end with no misses.
While I can agree to a point, but you can not pigeon hole Babymetal..and I like that. If I wanted the same old thing all the time, I'd listen to AC/DC, but being a Babymetal fan, I can respect your opinion. Kitsune up!
