it shows the triumph and the peace of winning against this terrible foe. but it still has parts that make you reflect on everyone you lost, then it brings that sadness into strength and perserverance. Then it moves to the part where you have to move on.This soundtrack is a rollercoaster of emotions. I will miss this show alot when it ends.
Lydia & Negan are somewhat symbolic now, just due to being the remnants of what the group had to face in the past. And now that they have these said remnants on their side, fighting with them.
I disagree. And that's why I found alphas death to be very sad. I truly think Alpha really did care for Lydia on a deep motherly level, but she was so twisted by the world that she was too far gone to ever be what Lydia really needed. I honestly feel bad for Alpha because I really think she was just too unfortunate to ever be able to be better. Too much darkness in her life. Characters like Carol, Rick, etc, they all had a lot of love in their life and things always seemed to get better for them no matter how hard things were. But Alpha? It only ever got worse for her. Who wouldn't have went insane?
@@oneulo8859 Exactly. Who? Just fucking who? Lydia should’ve told her mom to join the communities and use her real name at least for once in so long and to stay with her. Guess Lydia really was too little when the outbreak first started. Like, age 5 or 6 of little. To where she couldn’t just talk her mom into going back to her normal self again and to look at all of this as another chance for redemption and use it with all of that power of the king never even knowing who she is. Now, you see, if Lydia was 15 or 16 like she was the 10 years after in 2021 from back then in 2011 when it all started, she would’ve had talked her mom into joining instead of kick her out.
"We fear nothing, we are free. We need no words, we are free. We embrace all death, we are free. This is the end of the world. Now is the end of the world. We are the end of the world"
It's a beautiful scene really. The music is perfectly suited as well because it's a mixture of inspiration and melancholy. The joy and inspiration of seeing two really popular characters bonding and saving each other and the melancholy of seeing all the walking dead leaping to almost inevitable doom all the while thinking these were all people with hopes, dreams, highs and lows before this apocalyptic event all happened. Although we have all come to despise the walking dead as they took away so many popular characters throughout the show, our humanity won't allow us not to feel a certain level of sadness
I love osts like this one; one that tells a story, but not through lyrics, but through the melody itself. A story of a girl that was lost for a very long time, finally finding her own way and pulling somebody that faced a dead end into her own road (Lydia saving Carol) Both this and the skin falling were parts that hit real hard
Still after the show enden with this theme a new era started litarally. It was like the walking dead last great foe. After that it was just building a better future and making a last goodbye for the main show.
They really should put some of these soundtracks on spotify Like the one when negan got back went out of the jail to his place an found one of his followers a walker ( that song hits so damn deep and i play it often since then )
This is by far the cleanest version I have found! Thanks for sharing! Any chance you could do the entire hallucination sequence from 10x13 or the ending scene? There's some great music there.
It gets me every time this track. It's very reminiscent of the Nick Cave & Warren Ellis track 'What Must Be Done' from the movie 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford.'
I remember a few months ago, there was a recreation of that song here on RU-vid made by some dude. Where is that gone? His version was slightly different and so good. Not to take away from the song in any way, one of the best soundtrack songs I've ever heard…
Did good for the Whisperer War story though. Made it more unique, and made it so it wasn't just a rehash of All Out War(like it sort of was in the comics).
