Hey wels I have a tip for you that I learnt from pixlriffs, next time you need to go near the void just place lava, let it flow down and then place water next to it, now you have a pillar of cobble till the bottom of the world and you can just stand on it and mine the bottom block you you get down. Certainly more convenient and less risky than the water descent method (just be careful not to break the block at y=0 lmao)

There's no need for /give Welsknight netherite_ingot 9 when you can just grind it out in a couple of hours on a possibly *multi-year SMP* 2. There's no way that using commands to get an edge is allowed in Hermitcraft

One time I made tunnel 3 high and 2 wide for more than 7000 blocks and it took me couple of days and couple of hours each day - without eff5 pick and beacon. If I would record it then it would be boring as hell. He just chilled and mine a lot of the nether. I think only Scar makes grinding timelapses - from time to time.

If anyone attempts to do this trick to get to the bottom of the void, drop a bucket of lava then wait a few, and put the water next to it. the column of cobblestone will stop at the bottom and you can judge your descent safely! :D

wels i would enjoy a lot if u recorded some of u interating with other hermits. For me the funniest part of hermitcraft, besides the survival part, is actually the multiplayer interaction part. If u could consider showing interactions i would pretty much apreciate and i think other spectators would to! Of course its all our choice i will be continuing watching anyhow!

0:58 Wels: "The way you get down this far, is you use a water bucket to make a water stream, and then you slowly ride it down and place blocks". That's the hard way - it's much easier to place a lava bucket first, let it flow to y=0, then place your water next to it. Instant cobblestone pillar all the way down, no swimming required! Now you can dig down the cobble pillar, placing blocks alongside it on the way...

You should make your sheep farm into you shear 2, with shopping being decentralized this series, lag in the shopping district is less of a concern with no shopping district

I love the contrast between season 7 and 8. Wels joined season 7 late and was on the back foot from the beginning and never really found his stride. This season I think he intends to show that he can play with the big boys and be the best at it.

You should put a bunch of papers in a chest at the ender-ender that are named "WelsMart Free XP Receipt" and make a rule that every Hermit who uses the ender-ender has to take one for each grinding session and keep it in their base. It would be interesting to see the distribution by the end of the season.

You should just have the ender pearls collected in hoppers into a chest, then have an observer facing an observer against a dropper that has a hopper from the chest connected to it. Then if you put a sticky piston on one of the observers and add a lever to the piston you can decide wether it stores any or not. This might be more efficient

It's actually beneficial to have individual slime chunks and just build multiple farms if you *really* need higher rates. The advantage of a single slime chunk is that you don't need to mess with iron golems and just let the slimes hop off by themselves, which will happen almost always before they despawn. Such a single-chunk farm can produce up to almost double hopper speed on hard difficulty if the area has been loaded for a long time. (Watch gnembon's Fun Farms episode 30 for the complete explanation.)

Oof, Ketoacidosis ain't great. That basically means that, because of a series of complications, your blood essentially turns to acid. It's not uncommon to lose fingers or toes because of the damage it does. I hope he's alright.

smart design with the double carpets keeping the endermen off the pathway. That being said. I'm a paranoid individual when it comes to the end. Could you consider adding rails to the path, and a warning sign on the lever just incase a hermit drops an item into the drop chamber

Probably need an enclosed platform so Hermit's stuff doesn't go flying off the edge too.

I cannot believe how awesome it is to have Wels back on the HC server. S7 was amazing to watch, but it missed the WelsTouch, and I really missed all of the music you use too. Very calming and relaxing, even during an episode like this where you're hanging out over the voice standing on a piece of carpet. Thank you for coming back Wels!
