yeah, plus, he does remanisce about a time when door to door salesmen were a thing, but with TV ads and posters this was no longer a viable solution. You could say the son dying is the dad realizing that his time is over and he shouldn't have let his pride get in the way of his son

@@nicklopez8004 looks like they took mushroom 🍄 and the young one had a very good trip which caused the excitement cos maybe in his real world he’s more stressed concealed so by taking the mushroom he was able to experience something beyond beautiful that takes his mind away from the stress whatever it is to a world with painted with beautiful and joy. However, this world does not exist is just a fantasy unlocked from his cognitive imagination and hence consume with the attraction / thrill of the experience hence after the drugs wears off he become addicted with the thrill which can lead to a darker path... I.e searching for a world that does not exist in other words a form of escaping

As it hurtles further and further from earth, scientists shut down its systems one by one to preserve energy and allow it to relay data for as long as possible. I would like to explore an unexplained space phenomenon giving Voyager 1 sentience and further explore its realization that it is slowly being killed as scientists shut down its systems whilst being powerless to stop it. I have some further wrinkles to throw in there, but that's the gist.
