As someone who actually saw the movie, not toxically pre-reacting like a lot of the internet, I thought the movie was fun. Some dumbs stuff, but every MCU movie has that. The internet seems hellbent on willing this movie into failure, but it's well made, Iman Vellani is delightful and spends much of the movie fanboying, but nails her character. Im not a Bree Larson fan, but I liked her in this movie. Understated performance. I can easily name 5 MCU movies that this movie is better than, please don't judge til you see. Not going to change your life, but a fun 2 hours.
I agree, I watched The Marvels last night with negative expectations about it but I left liking the movie by the end of the movie. It was a real decent movie I’d give it a 7/10.
@user-qf5nc7pw7r the movie is undoubtedly divisive and it certainly not endgame. But the bottom line is if we as fans want to see Marvel continue to generate new content we can't be sabotaging movies we personally don't like. I've been a fan of comics since I was a kid and love the fact that the last 20 years have seen movies I thought were unable to get made and be awesome. Let's enjoy it for the overall content even if there are occasional missteps
this was a solid movie i enjoyed it fully...very underrated...i loved the action scenes especially when they was tagg switching eachother in during the fights it gave me dragonball fighterz mortal kombat 1 vibes!!!
Honestly though I have a question! Why didn't Kamala get the other bangle and why did Carol take the other Bangle? It should belong to Kamala... Carol is already OP and doesn't need it
With the introduction of the young Avengers the leader of that team should be spiderman because at this point hes already equipped to lead a team and already knows what it means to be a hero and there's also the new captain America, just how Ironman and the original captain America had there own fraction of an Avengers team. This time around there can be 3 factions with spiderman, new captain America and captain marvel
So watched it on Disney Plus, and yea it was.. meh…. It certainly wasn’t as bad as the Eternals, and in truth up until the whole Disney princess musical scene, I was actually enjoying it. That was a bit too much for me. It just got weirder after that. The villain was pretty flat, Not much of a set up for backstory, so we feel no empathy for her. Brie Larson played pretty much the set up man in this trio and as such she doesn’t come across quite as endearing as she did In the origin story. Iman Vellani steals the show as the fan girling teenager, she was completely believable, and totally charming. Her character was probably the best thing about the movie. Teyonah Parris, essentially played the brains of the trio, and was fine in the role. In truth if it wasn’t for the silliness of the aliens that could only communicate through singing, and then the flurkins eating everyone , and then they rather nerfed Nick Fury once again, this movie wouldn’t have been half bad. I don’t really think they should give up on the characters just yet, they just need to remember who their audience actually is. I mean Captain America, was just kind of Meh, until the winter soldier made him a total badass, Thor the Dark world was pretty flat, and the character seemed pretty stiff and Ragnarok breathed new life into that character, (although they went a little too far the other way with Love and Thunder). Point being, don’t discard good characters for a film that had a weak story.
This looks like really good movie. Fun, could watch. I think Monica entered black hole and went to another universe. Where she meet her younger mom,Charles and other X Men. Alternate universe. Which is good. Great video
Probably, maybe, but maybe Marvel Studios could fix that after "Avengers: Secret Wars" soft reboots the MCU and shifts the focus off the Avengers and onto another team like; them, or the "Fantastic Four"
The film was actually fun. I can see why Nia was calling it wacky, but in a good way. I think going to see the film and forming your own opinion about it is better than listening to a bunch of people online tell you how they feel about it and shaping your thoughts around that. It isn't a perfect film by any means, but it was enough fun for the end of the year and the end/end credit scenes help push the MCU into future stories ready to be told. I want it all, Marvel!
Kamala alone carrying this movie as Carol’s scenes mostly cringey and Monica felt kind like try-hard in the movie. Can’t wait to see X-Men!!!!! All in all, felt like this movie is good because of Kamala and the Khan family only.
I don’t agree with Carol and Monica they weren’t bad but Kamala and Fury DEF carried the movie lol her family too I didn’t even watch Ms Marvel but I’m probably going to now
What do you think the end of "The Marvels" means for the future of the MCU? That mid-credits scene is definitely setting up for Avengers: Secret Wars and I’m all for it. The film was actually fun. I can see why Nia called it wacky but in a good way. Speaking of the soft reboot of the MCU, might I suggest their new universe takes heavy inspiration from animated Marvel shows like; "The Spectacular Spider-Man, Wolverine and the X-Men, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur" much like how Peter Safran and James Gunn's new DC Universe will take inspiration from animated DC shows like; the "DC Animated Universe (DCAU) and Young Justice"? I honestly feel this film was largely cut cause there are some plot threads and questions unanswered otherwise I really had fun watching this and Loved it from start to finish. As someone who actually saw the movie, not toxically pre-reacting like a lot of the internet, I thought the movie was fun. Some dumb stuff, but every MCU movie has that. It's not going to change your life, but a fun 2 hours. If not for Brie Larson's contract obligations, Captain Marvel should have died reviving Hala's sun. She reignited the star without consequence invalidating Iman Vellani's sad delivery of the loss of her new friends the scene prior. Her sacrifice would have injected the ending with more weight and significance. After watching the spoilers, I'm having second thoughts about the movie. It has good potential 💯 I hope the alt Mother except for Her Alt Daughter as much as she was happy to see her again knowing it really isn't her mother but a version of the woman. That was what made me sad that She kept saying Who are you. Demanding to know. Because when they Do the Galaxy Fight I bet Captain Marvel would be happy to see them both. X-men 🫣 My problem has to do with the lack of depth to Carol's character. Then relating Kamala's powers to Carol's and the bangles. A quick fix would've been to add Rouge to the mix as the main villain. Giving Rouge and Carol a full story arch that has depth to it. Also, I happened to love the Inhumans so to take that from Kamala is terrible! If Black Bolt wasn't introduced so corny as some fan service and the characters were taken seriously a great fantastic 4 inhumans story could emerge as a result! I don't want young Avengers at all or any other C-list team up the shenanigans must stop! Who gives a flying French Connection? Why are Captain Marvel movies always designed to solely set up major Marvel storylines without delivering a great stand-alone story? CGI Beast They're gonna ruin the X-Men The same way they ruined Hulk and Thor or Kamala alone carries this movie as Carol’s scenes are mostly cringey and Monica feels kind of like a try-hard in the movie. Can’t wait to see X-Men!!!!! All in all, felt like this movie was good because of Kamala and the Khan family only. Show the whole movie for free. For this movie, I'll use a joke from THE BOYS... "GIRLS GET IT DONE" I don't wanna see spoilers for a movie I'm not going to watch Here without watching this movie cause, I just don't give a damn about the MCU anymore but curious enough to see what kind of bullshit they crapped up with this time.

This was horrible! It had some good parts like the cats and the end credits. But how the heck can they take capt marvel, someone who took on Thanos with all infinity gems on her own. Then all of a sudden can't take on someone with a hammer? Not only that needs help from 2 others that have not been in a real fight. Then she can start a sun in under 30 sec? Come on make it make sense. I hate the Ms. marvel character. She is just a Taylor Swift fan only with superheroes. I don't understand where marvel thinks it's a good idea to take a bunch of great movies with great characters and then rewrite it to make the avengers a bunch of teenage girls. Tell me which movie was ever successful as a remake with females. Ghostbusters? The oceans movie?

Depends on how you define bomb. Ratings/reviews wise it is up by nearly 15 points in comparison to The Eternals. Box office, we will just have to wait and see.
@@jimbo9208 don’t make any sense if your looking for any logic in this movie and everything seems rushed the plot of the movie is stupid but ppl are going to make excuses for it
@@jimbo9208 The movie, unfortunately, seems to miss the mark, landing firmly in the realm of mediocrity. The script's blandness and the lackluster portrayal of the villain contribute to an overall forgettable experience. The film's inability to leave a lasting impression is concerning; one might leave the theater wondering what they just witnessed. The overwhelming feeling of exhaustion stems from an over-plotted yet underwritten storyline and a tonal inconsistency that fails to strike the right balance between high-stakes drama and an engaging level of camp.
There's this new discovery, you may of heard of it called the rest of the world.. it seems pretty evoked and developed. They actually show movies ahead of us sometimes
@@FaceFamoushell not even that. Over the past few years, they advertise movies releasing on Friday's but have showings on Thursday in the USA. But yes, the rest of the world too.
