Only concerts I'm going to this year are lil eazy e on 4/20 and aftershock in Oct, you should hit that show up, it's a four day festival with 130+ groups and slipknot head lines one day.
This song was my first introduction to Slipknot and I've never left. I remember watching an interview where Cory and some of the members mentioned how brutal it was wearing the first gen masks; hard to breathe in and no where for the sweat to disperse. They put in the work either way and always brought the energy.
First time I saw Slipknot was right after Iowa came out, they were with Fear Factory and Chimaira. Our pit got so bad, Corey had to stop in the middle of a song "you fuckers need to calm down before someone gets hurt"
If I am not mistaken this was recorded at the Big Field Day down in Miami and the temps were climbing towards 100° F so when large crowds would happen in an area with a high risk of heat stroke, they are required by law to have free water and methods of periodic cooling. Fire Hoses aimed over the crowd was very common because it was cheaper than running a ton of fans or powering a bunch of coolers that make no profit.
I think this was said by some on the Disasterpiece reaction. There is just no one who could recreate the self titled and Iowa era of Slipknot. Even they can't recreate the energetic, frantic anger and feelings of madness. Whole experience always feels like a release of all the darker parts, just letting them all explode out and have some fun! You nailed it @2:30 with that feeling. Great reaction as always!
Maan I remember moshing around my living room with my brother to this back in 2002/3 when we were kids. Saw it on Kerrang! one day, turns out my Mum already owned a copy of the album, and been into metal ever since.
Refused - New noise, that's some next level sh**tt pleeeeaaase, you will love it I promise. They are Swedish band which released a "progressive punk" alum "The shape of punk to come", at first not many dig it, but now it's a cult classic, they were waaaay ahead of their time. Actually when you think about it, it's almost seems weird these kind of vocals on mainstream TV haha, I love them
Duuuuude! Thank you soooo much! Two years ago I took my guitar and played out of memory the intro riff but couldn't remember band and song name. Since than I tried to remember and googled ridiculous terms like "metal song furries video green filter screamo can I scream woooohhh" but found, as you can imaging, nothing. Thank you so much for your comment! Now I can rest in peace! 😂 Now I have to listen to this song about 100 times!
@@NeMsY2k ohh bro, that's sooo f-in awesome! I had the same, it took me in some cases like 10 years to ID a song haha, really happy you found it!! This song pumps me up so bad I wanna do a double backflip lol "Protest song 68" is also a really great "song" by them
This one has a lot more clean vocals than the original version. You should check out the album version on your own time, or make a reaction video of it lol.
Sick new world is gonna be fucken insane! I went last year and this one is even better by far. I’m sure tons of ppl will recognize you. Hope to you in the waves of humans haha. Keep it up love the channel.
This was the first slipknot song I listened to. Back then the hardest i went was avenged sevenfold, bat country era. It led me down my journey of listening to all sorts of metal genres. All these years later this is still my favorite slipknot song, and probably my favorite metal song period. While its a song that gets me pumped up, it also hits me right in the feels. This song and now you've got something to die for by lamb of god.
I guess I stumbled into your channel at just the right time! Gonna binge watch some reacts today, get my music fix and my faux-socialization fix at the same time lol.
This was my first Slipknot song! Great vid, if you see this PLEASE check out the video for "Nero Forte" it was written when Corey Taylor went through his divorce and the energy is unreal!
It was good the sound , i liked it!😍 And Slipknot is one of the best metal bands!🤘🏻🤘🏻 You have beautiful voice so the mic not change that. I check a reaction from you every day. Your doing a great job!👍🏻👌🏻😎
This takes back to my 1st Concert I ever attended. My Freshman year of HS. It was a Monster Roster. Tattoo the Earth tour 2000. Slipknot, Slayer, Sevendust, Sepultura, Hatebreed, Mudvayne, Cold, Spineshank, Nothingface. Coal Chmaber and Soulfly were supposed to be there too but dropped out of the tour right before it started.
This was my first ever Slipknot song I ever heard. They were so different when this came out. Took me a bit to come around to them. I didn’t get it till the Iowa album.
Ive never seen them live but one of one of my good buddies has seen them several times. My buddy says when you go see slipknot get as close as you can because the further away you are it sounds distorted by he time it gets all the way to the back. But if you get close its amazing
Hello Aileen and believe it or not there is a Faster version of This. Named Wait And Bleed Terry Date version. It's Official it's on Slipknot label/channel.
Love this band I saw them at Ozzfest back in the early 2000's plus I saw them with System Of A Down who is awesome as well I remember leaving a little early with my cousin and saw a girl with a bloody nose from the mosh pit it was crazy my favorite album is Iowa it is wicked heavy
I remember in 2004 when a schoolmate recorded me songs from new metal bands on a cassette, it had 3 songs by slipknot sic, before i forget and wait and bleed, I always stayed in that stage of the band until the day of today
ANY song, where it just goes off like that is amazing. Another couple songs that 'get up and go', are Roots Bloody Roots by Sepultura, and Conjunction Underneath the Alpha Wheel by Nargaroth...I couldn't really find any decent live versions of the latter, but Sepultura did theirs at Bloodstock (UK metal festival) last year :D
Never was a fan of slipknot, but i am fan of live music. So if there is anyone that could convice me to hear that kind of music is slipknot. Visually they are perfect. Remind me of rob zombie horror movies.
I have seen Slipknot 3 times in concert. Twice in 2004/2005 and again in 2022. They do NOT disappoint! Enjoyed your reaction(Best "stinkface" on RU-vid), but you gotta hear a proper version of this song. Some of my personal faves include: Heretic Anthem, Left Behind, People=$h!t, All Out Life, Purity, to name a few. Won't name them all, because it would get to be a ridiculously long list. But you wanna more Slipknot? Bring it ON my dear! 🤘🤘🤘
THANK YOU…. I can’t believe who would be stupid enough to believe this dumb girl…. In the intro she claims she hasn’t listened to Slipknot in a while…. If were a real metal head and ‘Wait and Bleed’ wasn’t your introduction…. Let’s be fair… she looks younger than 25 But how you don’t go looking through their discography This is to promote her OF page I bet
You have a good point. This is my 1st time seeing this lady. I wonder about her real reaction without knowing she's uploading this for views. I know alot of people do this and whatever.
I just get can’t passed her putting her foot in her mouth at the start of the video saying…. ‘I haven’t listened to Slipknot in a while…..’ AND YOU’VE NEVER HEARD THEIR DEBUT! And you run a music channel. Either it’s a rouse or she IS that stupid
While I really haven't listened to them since this album, they were brutal. I was fortunate enough to see them live in '99 opening up for Coal Chamber and Machine Head
I live in Vegas and will absolutely be at the Sick New World Festival. That line up is completely insane! I'll be taking my 17 year old to see Slipknot, SOAD, Sevendust, and Static X, among others live for the first time. You won't be able to miss us. We'll be the old black guy and the tall mixed kid with a big blonde afro headbanging near the front. 🤘😜🤘
The self titled album was something different. Used to listen the shit out of it when I was 15-17. Brings back memories. Never really got that into their later stuff. Saw them live once, which was an awesome show too. They toured with American Head Charge then, a very underrated band in my opinion. Well worth it to check out at least The War of Art album.
I agree with your statement instead of people going to drive throughs to get coffee they should just have slipknot blaring through the speaker and you just pass through the lane and be "I'm good thank you, I'm awake now" then just drive off
LIke some others, this was my intro to slipknot from a football teammate. This was my fuel in life and training along with 'Me inside'. Yup like i tell everyone, "Cory has the voice of an angel...fallen angel but angel all the same"
