One of the regrets we have as children is hindering our father from getting remarried after our mom passed. Our father honored our wishes but his health deteriorated quickly. We have been providing 24/7 care for our father. I wish we had supported him but we were just too broken to see anyone else in our mom’s place. Please allow your parents to love again. My childhood friend passed away on a Thanksgiving morning, I was due to return at the hospital the following morning but got the news from her husband that she had pass away during the night, she called all three of her children prior to informing them not to stand in his way of finding happiness again. In a similar situation as the Evans it happened quickly but fondly. My friend husband made a deliberate call to inform me of his plans for marriage to someone that I had known for such a long time and attended to wedding. After 23 yrs they are as happy as can be. I am also happy for both of them.
I'm not gonna lie this was the most respectful and honorable engagements i've seen since the lost of a pastors wife going into a new relationship. People need to take notes because they don't realize how it affects the family and congregation! It's easy to love and accept Dr. Carla, i believe she would be a great addition to Dr. Evans Life.. I've experienced losing a 1st Lady and the pastor removing every memory of her in the church while dating the new wife. It totally devastated the congregation and caused great disrespect towards the new wife. There is a better way and we've just witnessed it here. I'm so happy for Dr. Tony and Dr. Carla.

The scriptures acknowledge that he can marry again. It’s not about “production”. He did it ‘decent and in order’ in front of the flock that he ministered to. His ministry goes beyond “brick in mortar”, Dr. Evans ministers to the world. 🌎 There is NOTHING dishonorable that he has done. It is permissible according to the word of God. Blessings and peace. 😊

Just looking at Sweet Priscilla I can almost feel her pain. It’s the pain of that lump in the back of your throat that you have to hold there or else you’ll break down crying. I attended the Legacy Live event in April and when his 4mo of marriage came up everyone smiled for him. It's hard, I went through it too but she may have felt that she was losing her mom all over again. I agree it's the end of something but also a beginning.
My father and mother have been married for all of my 46yrs and are still together both in their 70s and reasonably healthy. However, if one of them passed I would not stand in the way of either of them remarrying. You can die from loneliness. Their happiness is paramount to me. Congratulations Dr Tony Evans.❤️🙏🏾

I totally agree! My late husband's older children couldn't accept their dad marrying someone that was a couple of years younger than him. I loved my late husband, he was happy, and that was all that mattered. We were married for 151/2 years, I took care of him until his death.

When I became a born again believer Dr. Evans and Pastor Charles Stanley were one of the first teachers to break down the word of God to this then “babe” in Christ. I relocated to Dallas after Grad school and enjoyed the teaching and wisdom that he continued to deliver in EVERY season. He has been faithful through loss, hardship, COVID, and has been a symbolic spiritual father to many souls. I love his example of walking in God’s promises. Even in this decision, I believe he is honoring the Lord. Thank you for all that you have done and been to me in my faith walk Dr. Evans. Though I have moved further away, you STILL are my favorite voice and teacher regarding the gospel of Christ. I can relate to this. For me it is Dr Tony Evans, Dr Charles Stanley and Pastor Chuck Swindoll. I live in the other side of the world but listening to their sermons and teachings online helped me so much in my spiritual walk. I am forever grateful for them. Im really glad OCBF puts up the livestreams of the preachings. It feels like I am there.
Same here. Another pastor to consider is the late Derek Prince, his sermons are online. I have received a solid foundations on doctrine, faith and practical encouragement from these gentlemen.

It was awkward at first. Then covid hit and took him along with his 2 brothers. We'd dated almost 2 yrs. After 2 marriages and dating its me and Jesus now. Happy for you.
I'm happy for Dr. Evans who has found a new companion. My father is a pastor and we lost our mom due to cancer. They had been married over 50 years. As children/grands, it was hard when my dad decided to remarry because it reminded us that our mother was no longer with us. It seemed as though we grieved all over again as if my mother had just passed. I often told myself and my siblings, " That life goes on for us missing mother, but for dad he is missing a lifetime partner who he laid next and woke up with him for over 50 years. And although, we all have experienced loss, but for dad it is different, it is a loss on another level." To Evans children/grands, it is hard, but God will see you through. I know you want your dad to be happy, but it is a reminder of your major loss. Your dad will always love your mom and no one could ever take her place. She will never be forgotten. Thank you for supporting your dad in the midst of your broken hearts. Praying for Dr. Evans, his wife to be, the children/grands and the church family as you walk into a different season. God is so good. My husband and I got together four years ago, after suffering great losses. We were 65 when God brought us together as man and wife. You are never too old to ding love again. Me too! He preached at my church back in the late 80’s or early 90’s, my pastor was a member of Moody at the time. I have attended other speaking engagements of his. Like you, I have been listening to Dr. Evans for over 30 years.

Throughout the year, I kept periodically re-watching his very first sermon of the new year he preached in January 2023 titled "Through New Eyes." This was very unexpected, but it explains the sermon about God doing something new in this year in 2023. It fills me with hope knowing that the year is not over yet.
