Well, well, the motorcycle gods smiled upon Crash Test Goat for a change! Not a rod or a bearing, just a simple loose cable. Some good news for a change. Little things like a noisy rattle can really drive anyone crazy. Good that you found the cause of the noise without having to go through an engine teardown, drop the bike off the stand once or twice, then put the engine together incorrectly, and discover that the rattle is still present. Some good news for a change!!

HI Goat, that really sucks about the R1, as a 30yr shop mechanic, I've always dreaded taking a new car or bike in for repair. Knowing full well there's a chance that it could never be the same when I get it back. I feel your pain, the R1 will be missed.

I'm a little surprised the shop let it go like that. Because you can't tell me they didn't hear that!! We could hear it as you pulled out of the shop!! So what's up with that??

Engine Stethoscope they are cheap and you can pinpoint any noise in the engine with it.

What music platform do you use? I have a cardo and I only use pandora. Looking for something more stable.

Warranty exhaust and Then ask to Pay the difference for an upgraded exhaust.
