Just finished this base after two days on a server and we’re messing with the biggest group on the server and I wanna say we’d be able to win in an online raid insane peaks but as a duo we already have the base full of loot good thing the mini china wall we can place boxes otherwise my favorite base yet👍
yeah rust is a dogshit game and when the servers restart it does something with stability and the bunker literally doesnt open and youve gotta wait for it to restart again.
If you’re doing the offset bunkers, instead of placing the 11 triangles for a 2nd time, can’t you just place a square off the main square(square closest to the base) delete the main square and replace it from the 2nd square?
Short answer, no. When going back the second time, you start off from the triangle you just offset by 11, so it won't be the same. Details : For the offset bunker to work, you need the half walls to be 22-triangle-offset, which can be achieved in one go although needing a 22-offset foundation to be kept for the half walls to have stability. Doing the whole process in two steps allows you to keep an 11-triangle-offset foundation, which can be placed alongside not-offset foundations while still supporting half-walls and covering gaps. Edit for credits : I understood this from GameLightz's tutorial on this bunker.
There is something wrong Idk if it's me or not but the triangles for the wide gaps some are decaying however you didn't state how to connect them it's the corner ones
What a brilliant looking base! I love it man! You have just got yourself a new sub! I really like how you mentioned the blue effect on the blocks placed when doing the offset! I’ve never noticed that before so great shout! All I’d say for feedback is to show the footprint! A lot of players like a footprint to see their build space! Brilliant build mate
having the batteries wired to turrets on the opposite side of the base like u said is somethin i cant believe ive never heard of before. actually would of helped so much in defenses in the past but ill def be doing that in the future. Thanks !
I'm surprised that's not common knowledge. I always place them on the opposite side and opposite level e.g turrets on 1st floor run off a battery on 3rd
The footprint is nice. I don't need widepeeks, because i am not online very often and nearly never get onlined. I rather use it as another layer of honeycomb. But nice base for people who are actually defending online very often.
One thing you don't mention (unless I missed it) is how to get into your base! I built a twig triangle roof on a twig foundation, but had to remove it. I guess you could use a ladder.... Am I missing something?
he says in the build, that you should place a triangle floor in the honeycomb opposite of tc to create a jump up with another triagle floor outside. Be carefull, you cant place a foundation if you do that early and might end up screwing yourself. But wood does the job for the start.
Pretty mean, but damn if more people start using it, its going to be very grindy getting the boom. I thought the crux was bad enough to raid , I can already see all the boom high quality Metal in the hidden boxes... split either side
Really love the base, just had one problem the windmills that supply power to the top batteries got destroyed and now I cant replace them guess the stability is to low. So my problem is I cant replace the triangles on the side but i could when i build the base, I know I cant remove them like you do in your video.
disappointed is all i have to say, i’m on rust console and i could only do one side of the bunker and that was where the entrance was. the other side has no material look to it, due to that this bunker doesn’t work! great video tho
This base a 1-2 day snowball base? Absolute insane base dont get me wrong, But this base is for a duo max, No shot a 6 man lives in this and doesn't have trouble with box space, Just built this and struggling to find space for all the loot hahaha!
you are going to fill 33 large boxes inside and 20+ more in the outer area in 2 days? also easily place 12+ more large boxes inside while still having space for beds and furnaces
Can anyone help me? Been building this base on 2 wipes and both times the bunkers have been working and then suddenly when we get the full base down and are closing up on day 2 some if not all of the bunkers are not working meaning I place a floor and when we place the roof to open the bunkers they wont open.. Any suggestions to what I am doing wrong?
yeah i think this base is bugged as shit lol, the stability is calculated wrong on some servers, it keeps happening to us as well. Usually when the server restarts one of the bunkers will just randomly not work. I know ive built it correctly because I can have the whole base up, working, all bunkers work, then the server will restart and one just doesnt work lol.
@@iFrxstyy-Clips yeah, what we learnt was that when the server restarted it would break one of the bunkers but if you waited for it to then restart AGAIN it would then fix itself. So one of the bunkers would only work every second day lmao, weird as shit.
I can't build walls on the outer triangle foundations. It says building too close to another building. I hope it didnt get patched out. Edit: I had to improvise to close off the outer shell. Not as effective but still pretty good. This base build is pretty sick.
@@MaxHS Okay ty. One more question if you don't mind. I just built this base and the bunkers were opening fine but now one side is not working. My foundation was to high to add the raised triangle on one side (the one used to open the bunker) so I improvised and built a leveled triangle with a half wall. This side isn't allowing me to place the roof to open the bunker. Is it because of what I did or is it something else?
@@rebel8215the other reply was wrong it doesn’t have to be a foundation. You just have to not build the 1 half wall nearest to where u put the roof to open it
