This was a rough watch, full of very uncomfortable scenes. Obviously a lot of scenes we could not show on RU-vid but we tried our best on the edit. Hope you guys enjoy the reaction/review.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone react to this one. I found it to be terrifying. And I appreciate your reacting to 1408.. I love it & hardly anyone reacts to it. I have a little catching up to do on your reactions.. would highly recommend The Mist, if you haven't seen it already. Also A Time to Kill (even though it's not horror).

This story was really based on an actual incident that was documented and there are pictures taken by the people involved. Actually THE EXORCIST was based on a series of incidents compiled into a single story by William Peter Blatty who was studying to become a priest with the major character changed from a ten year old boy to a girl.

The book that this is based on is really good. The book is based on the true account of Carlotta Moran (although that was not the woman's real name). you should look up the account. Writer Richard Matheson was there for one of the days of the investigation. He recounted some really weird stuff that he and the students from the college witnessed. Barbara Hershey's performance really sells what is going on in the attacks. I loved her relief once someone finally witnesses her attacks.

FINALLY! Someone is daring to react to this 😂. I loved all your initial questions eg. What does she do? Her job..? Boyfriend..? NONE of those things mattered back in the day as we (the audience) never questioned what was being presented, it was just 'as is' Lol. It shows me how much things have changed and how much newer/younger audiences need 'context'. Nowadays, so much effort is put into 'story background' i.e either in flashback form or dialogue so I'm glad I can see a pattern 😊. Newer films usually NEED you to watch them again, as clues are usually hidden in the dialogue (that you may've not been paying attention to lol). I love the pace of these older films; they really put you IN the movie hence this being a gem you only need to see once lol. *Rebuking is necessary as this is a deep subject matter; people open themselves up to these Entities without even realising x

Honestly I'm fine with the ending, I even think it's one of the films' stronger parts. Because ultimately...it's about the horror of powerlessness/of being a victim.

sorry to disappoint you that this true paranormal story didn't have a more exciting ending that you're used to. not all true stories have explosive Hollywood endings. true story endings can fizzle out, but it is still a true supernatural story that shows it's just not a material world out there. there are supernatural entities that can oppress people. that's what's wrong with your generation, exciting movies like the Transformers and Jurassic Park series have left you punks spoiled, jaded and dead from interesting and exciting true stories. I am witnessing the death of western civilization.
@gailscrypto1536

i find this one of the most terrifying, not just the film but that this is a true case of Doris Bither. Its a hard watch and many wont review it - it think its one of the closest representation of violent rape fully on a womans perspective as you dont see the attacker., it becomes almost a pure exercise in the female experience and thats what makes it so uncomfortable. When i watched this when i was 13 i lived in a house filled with poltergeist activity so it was extra terrifying!!!!! how could you end this film when it continued till her death in 1999....

Dude with the cap. Can you guess what is even more annoying than all the Dutch angles in this film? Watch your own reaction and take a wild guess of what might be more annoying to viewers than the angles in this film. Mentioning it every single time you see one and discussing it over and over again might provide the clues you need. Should be easy to figure out.

I saw this movie for the first time back in 1984 on RCA's CED videodisc system, with stereo surround sound. The Entity is quite a spooky movie viewing experience thanks to some very intensely scary scenes within the movie and the scariest part about the whole thing is that neither the characters in the movie nor us actually see the monster that is tormenting the main character as well as other characters in the movie. We are affirmed the monster is there and that it can do horrible things but still there is no affirmation as to just exactly *what* it is, what it wants (aside of a little piece of the action from the main character in the film) but we can tell the monster is powerful and relentless. That's the main element that makes for a great and suspenseful story. Now if they kept showing the monster in this movie that would've taken alot of the scare factor out of the movie. 'The Entity' is a very spooky and disturbing movie definitely worth a watch but I would advise not watch it at night or close to bedtime.

While maybe it wasn’t what we felt was the scariest movie we’ve ever seen, you can’t deny it kept us squirming in our seats and uncomfortable. You have to respect a movie for being able to elicit real reaction like that. Thank you again for the suggestion, we’d love to do more!
