I went through that as well. I did not back the women path tarot so I could back this deck. I have been wondering if I made a mistake or not since I’ve seen walkthroughs of the Woven Path tarot. I clicked on this video so quickly since it was the first walk through I have seen! They both seem to be exquisite decks. An impossible choice. How are you enjoying the Woven Path Tarot? I may try to get a copy if I can in the next month or so.

Hahaha oh man, I can totally relate to avoiding a walkthrough for days until my own copy arrives lol. I rehomed my TB a few years ago, and lately I’ve been like…was that a mistake? 😅 I’m so glad you’re loving Ephemere though! Ah yeah, I guess they had to decide for the sake of the storytelling aspect (with the triptychs in the book) if they’d order them according to the stories they wanted to tell in those three card panels, or by traditional order. I miiiiight have done the same as they did, but with the addition of a single page listing the new titles in traditional order as well. Thanks for watching and for sharing your thoughts, Sylvain! 💜

Yeah. I guess a quick reference in the guidebook would have been enough, I was just annoyed while trying to put them in order to get back to different sections of the LWB... That being said, IT'S SHUFFLABLE! YAY! It's more than I can say about the True Black! 😅

Ahhhh, yeah, I feel you lol. She took a little work to get in order for sure, and also a little work to then find the major arcana pages we’re looking for. I think the guidebook content is fantastic, but it definitely could’ve used just a few signposts, maybe a table of contents to help us find the major entries we’re looking for w more ease, that kind of thing. And ohhhhh, okay so it’s not just me that found Ephemere way easier to shuffle 😸 I wonder if it’s down to the way this rose petal laminate was mixed? Or if the foil detailing on front and back help reduce traction, or maybe a combo?

I feel like both of those things are true, but also, the cards are WAY thinner and a lot more flexible. I'll film (and hopefully upload) a comparison video this weekend, but let's just say that Ephemere is at least 10 cards thinner than True Black.

That is so good to hear. I was hoping that would be the case. I was confident it would be a beautiful deck to spend some time with. When the changes are thoughtfully done and make sense it is such a relief. It means it will be a deck I will actually work with rather than just flip through occasionally. But that isn’t always something you can surmise until you actually have it. The quality was never in doubt and your video has only added to the excitement that’s been building since I recently received my tracking information.
