What I love to see, a dive into various Thomas and other train knockoffs, I want to make a catalogue going into ALL the cheapy bootleg train sets out there but it's take me until I'm 80 and grey haired I believe the rehashed Southward Bill D51 might be loosely based off the Railking D51 sets which are cheap battery operated train sets that coincidently are HO scale and run on the same track, unless someone at the factory pulled up a random Google image of a D51 by coincidence like with the diesel engine you're talking about

The knockoff Motorized Railway train would've also included a soundchip that played train sounds and "Traffic Light" along with a blinking headlight

The black locomotive is probably my favourite Plarail bootleg ever, gives me JNR vibes and looks grand overall.
