Agreed…I didn’t go to any of Clay’s shows after he did the first Christmas solo tour. I remember watching videos of them and losing interest in Clay for awhile. I thought his vocal performances were going down in quality. He probably just got burned out on doing cover music tours and new material that wasn’t really working out for him. Right now I think Clay sounds as good as ever! I don’t like Unchained Melody as a song, but Clay really blew the roof off the crappy casino I saw their show it. It was phenomenal. I never actually saw Ruben live until this tour. I was really impressed with his performance and I really, really, like Ruben as a person. He’s insightful and intelligent. I’m so glad they are doing this tour.

@pamr5486 I'll be going again on the 18th in Palm Desert to see them. I went on September 23rd to the Arcadia show, and this will be my 2nd time. I am so happy Clay is touring. Missed him.

I think that clay is the businessman behind these tours, etc. He’s shrewd. Didn’t he do some of his own tours?

Clay did at least 9 solo tours; his first was a co-tour with Kelly Clarkson (her first tour, ever, even though she was on Idol a year before Clay ); a Xmas tour with Ruben; ❤2 stints on Broadway in Spamalot; and was one of the performers at a Lincoln Center tribute to the incomparable Neil Sedaka where Clay brought down the house with ‘Solitaire’; and was one of only three performers to get standing o’s (Neil, Connie Francis and Clay!) even though some of the most iconic performers of the 60’s also performed. Dion, Captain & Tennille among others). I was lucky to attend at least one show of each tour when they came to New England. I saw him in Spamalot 3 times and attended the Neil Sedaka tribute; I even flew to North Carolina to see his Xmas production which told a story in music!! This past Wednesday hubby and I saw Clay and Ruben in Plymouth, Mass. They sounded amazing and were a hoot together. A fun evening.

@@pamr5486 I saw Clay and Kelly together in NY and probably another 4 or 5 of his shows including Spamalot on Broadway, Very sorry I didn't get to see him in Joseph, that score is perfect for his voice. I always like Ruben and to me, it seems like his voice has gotten alot stronger and more mature when it was back then, I honestly think that, back then, really did out sing him, Today, I do believe they are perfectly matched

I just saw them on 11,16,2023 an after the show,Ruben came out in the lobby,He signed my cd .we talked for awhile,an I got a hug,you dam straight.I had the best night ever,.Thank you Nancy an Floyd.
