The more science understands the genetics, and the changes within, the more the fishes are known.

Antarctica abruptly transitioned from a warm, subtropical hothouse to the present solid ice sheet during a period when CO2 levels exceeded those of today by 10 times.

Currently, there are over 10,000 desalination plants on the ocean. We're told that it's "sustainable". Experts claim that by reducing the strength of salt content discharged from the plant is reduced by mixing it with sea water. So, how the hell does this reduce the salt content by diluting it with sea water? It only spreads the salt around the same area. And depends on ocean currents to wash the excess salty water and dilute it. Well, that theory may work for a while, but the very long view spells disaster. Ocean life depends of a steady level of salinity. Those "spikes" in salinity as ocean currents increase and decrease will stress the immune systems of all the life in the ocean. But don't worry, our experts say it's all "sustainable", a term made popular back in the 1960's with the environmentalist's movement. That word became a "mantra" anytime our planet was attacked by bad management ever since. Everything they told us was "sustainable" since the 60's wasn't, yet the word is still being used today a lot. Historians will write that "sustainable" will become a metaphor for "kicking the can way the hell down the road".

this is the most paint-by-numbers, assembled from a starter-kit generic b-tier anime-esque documentary ever. I'm pretty sure this is just a sentient collection of stock footage.
