Ocean life depends of a steady level of salinity. Those "spikes" in salinity as ocean currents increase and decrease will stress the immune systems of all the life in the ocean. But don't worry, our experts say it's all "sustainable", a term made popular back in the 1960's with the environmentalist's movement. That word became a "mantra" anytime our planet was attacked by bad management ever since. Everything they told us was "sustainable" since the 60's wasn't, yet the word is still being used today a lot. Historians will write that "sustainable" will become a metaphor for "kicking the can way the hell down the road".
