Plastic crap with plastic hallmarks Defecation that falls apart Plastic lungs, plastic hearts, Plastic cups were just the start Chorus: 1970's have been made in Hong Kong 1970's have been made in Hong Kong Plastic crap, plastic crap that keeps going wrong Hong Kong, Hong Kong - you can't undo what you've done Pollution sifting through the air You laugh now but you'll be there The clouds will come down and smother your face But I suppose by then we'll have imitation air In a couple of years we'll all be perfect, Plastic, imitation - will it be worth it? Hong Kong spread worldwide Full of scientists trying to unearth it
So to my understanding, and for anyone who is curious, this is the re-recorded version of The Licks-1970's EP, now called The Epileptics. This new version was released on Spiderleg Records (1981) and re-recorded with Penny Rimbaud on drums. The sound and performance is much better, in my opinion.
the lyrics to system rejects still put a shiver through me.sums up being a punk in 1980 was to me. good to hear these versions of the songs,i still have original ep. fuckin excellent.
I was born in 94 and a lot of these songs give me chills and a sense of sadness on how we’re still dealing w the same shit system. I thank anarcho punk bands, punk as well for expressing their anger this way and exposing shit most people wouldn’t care to listen to
Callum Lightfoot Penny Rimbaud is drumming on this EP, as people have said this EP "copied" or was "trying" to be like Crass......with out even knowing who was drumming....not to mention that alot of the early crass records bands had members of Crass playing in some form or another.... To be honest the only thing band that sounded like Crass was Honey Banes "Girl on the run" Which was Crass with Honey on vocals Besides that most of all the Crass records bands had their own sound, even if all their release art had all of the same stencil like art work
Thank you i was starting to think i was going crazy i was looking for this comment right here not a single person said anything about the flux of pink Indians but you
Yup I gotta agree with matey.. I love the early 🅰️ N 🅰️ RCHO ---PUNK BANDS , LIKE flux of pink indians, Cr🅰️as, rubella ballet, SUBHUMANS, ect, ect, after 86 the 🅰️ N 🅰️ RCHO scene started to get metally ANYHOOS WORLD I'm now 53 yrs old and still a punk today well as they say init for life...!!?? NO WAR'S BUT CLASS WAR, 🅰️ N 🅰️ RCHY AND FREEDOM, PEACE UNITY AND RESPECT STAY SAFE WORLD 🌈🌈🌈☮️☯️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴🏴💣💣💥💥🔥💥💥🍺😊👍
Psycho Fish it's the vocals of the band that makes it for me, yeah I know it's 2 separate bands but you can't thinking flux. Both great bands in there own right.
Obviously Crass, uhhh let’s see some more; anthrax (82), antisect, flux of pink Indians, honey bane, the system, zounds, omega tribe. Nausea from New York a little while later has the same sentiments, yet a harsher sound
The Epileptics - 1970's EP (1981) 0540am 28.12.21 sounds like them... sounds like those kids from east anglia being the only punx whoever existed. musically - yeah, cool.. price wise - indeed... 75p. paying anymore than 75pence for this - once over the record seller would have died... akin to play loud or not at all - a statement i used to adhere to cos it exclaimed i had to.
