Well you've done it again, Miles. Another awesome POV First Drive of a Mercedes that's going to sell like hotcakes. The EQS SUV has an elegance of proportion that sets it apart from all it's competition. This vehicle looks like a huge homerun for the SUV EV market given the combination of features and materials.

To be fair, Tesla labels the Model X as a "luxury SUV," but the only thing luxurious is the price and the speed. The materials and build quality are pretty sub-par for the money, and the brand is still earning some of the lowest reliability ratings out there for EVs right now. In contrast, the EQS SUV is in the same price range as the Model X, but has palpably better build materials and build quality, better design, and you actually get a "luxury" car for the money. I'd probably be happy taking little hit on range to own a better overall vehicle. The Rivian R1S probably under-cuts both the Model X and the EQS SUV given it's lower price, greater power, greater range, and overall excellent build quality and design.
