The Limited Time Events got overwhelming in Destiny 2... which is the reason I left. But that content was important story lore that disappears and is gone forever, but you are supposed to know for why you are playing current content.
Were the LTE’s there one and done? Or were they events that would be repeated every year? If they’re repeated every year then I’m ok with that but if it’s a once only special event then no I am not
@@MrLachyG No. Content that is integral to the story of the game should never be locked behind a limited time event, whether it occurs once or annually. That's just stupid design.

"ruin my life pools" got me xD i'm really not looking forward to having to do brackenhide and nokhud again but i won't try too hard, just giving it a few tries to get portals now that my friends hopefully play again
Hazel , I love your videos. I'm also loving all your new looks. I remember when I first started watching you several years ago you had teal blue hair and I loved it! I don't even play wow anymore, but I always watch your updates and really enjoy them. You go girl.
Worth noting that solo shuffle was also a limited time event. It seems like a safe way for them to test new ideas without having to commit to them, so I hope whatever it is can be as exciting and worth keeping around. But if not, hopefully it’ll at least be some novel fun for a while!!
Very good point, it could be something else that becomes permanent if it's well received. Plus either way it's ADDING something to the game rather then taking away. I just don't understand ppl who write it off before it's even released. Let's just wait and see ☠️

@@captainexistence Limited time event sets the expectation that it WILL BE removed at some point, which puts the event at best something like a holiday event which comes around yearly. At worst it's something like Legion legendaries, fun while you have them but knowing the whole time they're going away.
people these days are not generally interested in spending weeks on a single character just to get them to level cap, this was the case as early as Cataclysm. i get how some people WANT to spend weeks leveling on a character, but that's what Classic exists for.
The first day of the Hearthstone Anniversary event, I logged in and stuck with it all the way through till around 10 to 11pm, and managed to get ALL of the drops, with the exception of the 21-card achieve. This has been the ONLY WoW event where RNGeezus has been favorable to me (versus Hallow's End or Love is in the Air... been waiting for my Horseman's mount since 2008!). Really love the Compass Rose mount and the Stone of Hearth (one of the BEST Hearthing animations ever!), but I wish they had given Sarge an option to /ride on your shoulder, much like Cap'n Crackers does. QUESTION : Do you think that, if enough fans request it, will the Devs give Hunter combat pets the ability to "spec" themselves like they did in a past expansion (meaning they can be switched between Tank, DPS, and PVP specs by player choice)? This really allows for a true slice of Class Fantasy, as I loved my Duskstalker being able to Tank while leveling, then swap to DPS for Dunegons/Raids.
I think it was content originally slated for the game but never got put in and decided to go the way of the war within. they decided to slide it in as a timed event.

after being gone from wow since wotlk and coming back it kind of makes me want to stop playing knowing that there are mounts I can't get anymore or afford. The bmah isnt an option. I have maybe 100k saved.
I personally enjoy limited time events, especially on 'full' pop servers, feels more community based and exciting. As long as it doesn't move the story along and is its own little thing, I'm excited!! Even just within this Hearthstone thing, the amount of people in one place just leads to funny things happening and entertaining conversations between total strangers.
I don't mind FOMO Events if the ability to get the item for achievement is obtainable with a reasonable amount of effort. A FOMO Mount that you can attempt to get once a day with a .000000001 percent drop rate is unrealistic. The average person doesn't have 40 hours to game each week to increase their chances of getting that FOMO Drop.
I think the dungeon difficulty revamp is excellent. Now they need to revamp the raid difficulties so that Normal is in-between LFR and current Normal and LFR should just be a story/see the content mode.
The dungeons are not being made easier. The gear is just increasing to higher ilvls and the difficulty(higher health and dmg) is increasing accordingly. The only parts that aren't moving downward to lower dungeon difs is the affixes. This is nothing new.
@@darwinxavier3516 Heroic will now be as hard as M0 used to be and M0 will be as hard as +10, while rewards of +10 to +20 will be squished to fit from the new +2 up to +10 like it was in Legion and half of BFA.
@@badass6300 That's not the way she explained it. Nothing about going all the way back to an older M0 difficulty level. But she could've just explained it poorly. But making the dungeons easier has not been blizz's pattern so I doubt that's what's happening.

Heroic will be as hard as M0 currently is, while M0 will be as hard as +10 is right now(without the affixes and timer). the new +2 will be the current +11 and the new +10 will be the current +20 . On the other hand I said that Normal raid difficulty should be lowered, because right now Normal and Heroic Raids(and since mid legion) have been too close together and one of them is pointless. either heroic needs to become harder or normal easier.
@@badass6300 From your OP, it sounded like you believed the general misunderstanding that everything was getting easier. As in you liked the dungeon changes, now apply those to raids. I just think it's misleading to call it a squish when it's just the same old linear increase in difficulty and rewards that they've been doing to dungeons for years. As for raids seeming too close, I heavily disagree as someone who does both. Heroic is when new mechanics and changes to timers are added which fundamentally increase the difficulty as there are way more things to manage at once. As for lfr, that's already super ez. The only reason wipes happen is sheer incompetence or laziness to do any research before going in.
Crazy to think not beta testing content causes you to release content filled with issues. It truly is a new era of wow, where they don’t even pretend to give a crap.
I''m most excited for the dungeon squish to help me learn new classes and specs. Mythic 2-10 did a terrible job of helping you learnt he things you need to know at higher levels
Sadly, every time they come out with 'limited time content' I feel less compelled to care about all their future content. I feel exhausted thinking that I can never take a break and GO BACK to pick stuff up that I may have missed. It's becoming a forced march and I just start feeling bad for friends that start the game after me who will never get the cool things I have. It's also just a bad model to constantly spend so much time on disposable content that doesn't add to the amount of things to do in the game. I feel this way every time they trivialize content and remove rewards.
Interestingly, you dont have to log in to wow to get the hearthsteed. I hadn't played in a few months, but played hearthstone every day. When this event started I got the alert in hearthstone that I had gotten the mount in wow lol.
The thing I find bizarre is that with M0s still being on a weekly lockout, they are going to remain functionally dead. They aren’t going to be viable for grinding gear or crests since they can’t be spammed. On top of that, with the way the loot drop/vault reward levels are set, there is no reason to ever run anything other than a +2 or a +8 beyond pushing or getting to an 8 from a 2.
@@keithb6344 I get what Blizz is trying for. The blue post was pretty clear on that. That doesn’t change the problem keeping the lockout causes. It’s the same problem that has been in effect since Mythics were introduced back in Legion. People don’t not run 0s because of the loot level. They don’t run them because of the lookout.
Am I the only one who actually HATES "limited time" events and rewards? It's an MMO for F-sake, make it avalable for players AFTER the fact somehow. We already get to buy the Collectors edition mounts in the shop or trading post. So give me a way to get the M+ mounts that I don't have. The more content that is available the longer people will play. With this season s**t you'll see that servers are full for a few weeks and then there is NOBODY around anymore because there is nothing worthwhile in the game that would keep players.
Make the rewards available or the content? The rewards I understand (don’t agree with, but understand). The content, no. That would be a mess having random crap going on everywhere.

Don't like anything that induces fomo. I am usually trying to play wow as a "comfy game" these days but there are so many cosmetics getting slapped into the game recently I feel like I can't catch up or even worse - might miss something. Stresses me out.
Agreed !, that's one of the reason I left the game, In top of paying a monthly sub wow forces you login at certain time and play the game for certain number of hours, feels like homework screw that !

@@Hmm-oc1wgopen a ticket, might take a few days (wouldnt be suprised if they are swamped with similar tickets rn) but they usually just give it to you. or maybe the collection tab is just messed up. can be a bug, can be an add-on messing things up-. the latter has happened to me before XD
i'm fine with them doing special events for like Hearthstone and Diablo, that makes SENSE. but causing FOMO on a whim does NOT, i'm thinking that this HAS to be a new Holiday, as they have been so good about negating previous FOMO worries in Dragonflight, i cant see them turning around on that now.
I am one of the lucky ones that have had everything drop for me from the Hearthstone boss encounter. Now I am just trying to get the bag to drop for each of my characters. I am glad that they changed it to every 30 minutes. Hope whatever the new event is, is worth the hype.

My friends list has been empty for weeks it blows my mind no one is playing any Blizz games right now that I know except a couple that pop on for Season of Discovery from time to time. I am still enjoying it but have been more Cozy playing chasing Pepe appearances and mounts, transmogs. I don't care for the last two content updates, they were supremely underwhelming IMO. Gilneas was boring and anticlimactic, the Hearthstone event buggy and furstrating. The Dig site rewards aren't worth the grind and it feels like a hamster wheel Blizz put in to try and keep people subbed. Hoping for some quality stuff with this Pirate event for once!
Well, if the content of 10.2.6 is very lack luster, that will only just cool the waters down quite a bit and not a good look at all in how Bliz has been handling Wow as a hole.
I keep wondering if 10.2.6 is going to be a phased run for end of expac like the Prince Tethris run in BC when you could get the pet or the Arcanite Ripper

Question: does Kira not react to your new hair(s) as "OMG there's something alien there, might be dangerous must get it off my human"? One of my cats goes all crazy on my purple wig, but not when I dye my hair. Maybe he has a problem with its material, it may have some property I cannot see but he has, etc.
It took me three days, but I got all the stuff that drops including all the cards from spawn drops. I got the bag for all my alts too. After you get an item, it won't drop again for you so once I got everything, I ran my alts and the only thing that will drop if any cause sometimes you get nothing will be the bag.
how do you add the Hearthstone game so you can play at the tables at the event. Sorry for the dumb question but i honestly don't know how to make it part of the game.
Always played m+ since legion last few expansions (BFA, SLand DF) and seasons i played 25+ or higher. Now i very much doubt if i will return for this last season or just wait for new expansion.
I couldn't help but notice that the people who tend to praise these limited time events are also the people who were lucky enough to get most if not all the loot from them. lol!
If new players see tons of stuff they missed out on and will never will be able to collect or participate in it they won’t keep playing the game or start playing at all. Good luck keeping a player base when you’re putting in and taking stuff out the game over and over again just like Diablo 4.
probably still the same, they're just making it to where you can get used to M+ easier and well as gear up faster, so you arent screwed to fail a key because your ilvl aint up to snuff.
That doesn't sound like a squish. That just sounds like the regular making dungeons harder to adjust for the higher average gear people have and also increasing the ilvl of the drops from those dungeons. It won't make dungeons easier at all, it will make gearing easier.
I saw the chart, but i have a question. Is the mythic plus gear reward capped at plus 10 for the weekly great vault, which was previously plus 20 in S3?
yes, 10 is as hard as you have to push if all you're going for is gear, there will also be no timer until M 10, with Affixes being introduced at +2, +5 and +10.
I missed the hearthstone event due to vacation. Oh well glad im immune to the fomo bullshit that blizzard has been throwing out lately it is actually getting annoying.
If it's not a holiday event and limited time that never comes back once it's over on top of being something that we have no idea what its going to be ahead of time AND having a higher likelihood of major bugs due to not beijng on the ptr...that just feels like an extremely scummy move on the wow teams part.

it makes sense imo, this is Season 4 of Dragonflight and with no new instances coming until TWW, may as well just run all the current ones. on the plus side that does not include Dawn of the Infinite.

FOMO content is a mistake. Might get a few extra subs in the short-term, but it is bad for longevity (e.g. nothing to do during content lulls - usually leads people to old content). Also, how many people are going to miss out simply because xpac is basically over?
o they can make M0 relevant VERY EASYLY put it on the group finder, thats why its dead, there is 0 entry to the content, you want people in there take the damn gate down & let people use the AUTO group finder for it. Safe your breath about "there harder" they are not, The Everbloom and Grim rail were gutted nerfed then changed JUST to make them a Mythic. PS they also take ALL TRINKETS OFF THE GCD ONLY in Mythic 5 mans

Just about everything in a live service game is centered around FOMO. It’s a feature and not a bug. If you don’t like it maybe live service games aren’t for you.

@Strytax I've been playing WoW since Vanilla lol and even if you have played longer than me. That literally means nothing. If you're experiencing FOMO over an item that you think is BS. Then it has nothing to do with the drop chance. You and people like you just want something to complain about.
It's been proven time limited events are a waste of development time. The only reasons a company does this is for metrics, monetization, and to create fomo which feeds into both metrics and monetization. Huge red flag that says the devs do not care about the player's or the game.
