Great stuff. Just found the WOKWI page and bookmarked it. Should be a nice way to simulate a sketch project before a breadboard build. At least I can do the simulation while the wife is at home and do the build when she’s out.
Thanks for sharing. I already tried Wokwi some month ago and liked it a lot from the beginning. It's capable of becoming the future of microcontroller projects. 👍👍
So I am trying to adapt an ESP 8266 to control my model train and use this to test and modify code and learn what works BEFORE I burn up all mt components??? I am all In for that. Gonna need a speed tutorial???? Dennis
An online simulator? Just no. Not for any serious development. Sure, I get it. This online simulator is to be treated as seriously as a computer game. It's for play only. Not for development. Can Wokwi absolutely guarantee security and privacy of any project you design on their site with such rigor that not even a future quantum computer de-encryption has the slightest possibility of being able to break their security? And offer a $10M bond if the promise is broken or even if they guessed wrong? Of course they can't. No company can. It's not possible. I can't think of a better way to get people to reveal their designs than to make an online simulator service. To be a serious design tool, it needs to be capable of running on-premises and without needing an internet connection to operate. SMH.
No need to shake your head. There are many (and growing in numbers) companies keeping data on their servers. None can provide a 100% guarantee. This small, low cost enterprise is not intended for "industrial users" like Auto Desk is.
